I would absolutely recommend purchasing if you intend to use it for the same purpose as me; which is more or less as a decoration for the room. That may just be because I am picky and couldn’t settle on a lamp shade that I loved with it, so I decided to go with a flicker light bulb to simulate a small flame at the top of the Derrick. This would be concerning on a real oil derrick, however I think it looks like a great combination in this situation. All in all it is a fully functional lamp depending on how you choose to use it, and not to mention a very unique item. I have yet to see anything else like it.
