Is there the option to turn off the music and just light up and roll?

No, it will only play music and roll at the same time.

I dont think mind rolls? Is it suppose to roll on its own?

Mine wasn't rolling so I replaced the batteries and it started to roll. It had enough power to play the music and light up but not roll. A good trick for the music is to put good duct tape over the holes to muffle the sound. I have a few toys that are extremely loud that I do this too. If you never want to hear it again poke thru the holes and you will disable the speaker permanently.

What are some of the songs that play?

I've heard La Cucaracha, The Wheels on the Bus, My Darling Clementine, Did You Ever See a .....?, and various jungle (like what you might hear on a safari amusement ride) and monkey sounds. There is quite a variety of short snippets of songs that are familiar to me but the titles escape me. :-) Seren seems to enjoy the toy!

Does it work on carpet??

Yes, you may use this product on low carpet.
