It’s chalk. It works like chalk should. The only thing is they break very easy, but then again, these are really thin and my son is stronger than he thinks. No complaints. Good job.

The chalk itself works great. Very vibrant colors and easy to write with. The only reason it did not receive 5 stars is because in one of the boxes (out of three) that I ordered, all of the chalk pieces were broken!

They are small boxes of chalk - and the pieces are shorter than a crayon. But for the price, the time they are visiting and the each child playing with their own box of chalk - makes this playtime easy. Plus A name you can trust!

We have several chalkboards in our home, because we are old school like that. Crayola has the hands down BEST CHALK! The colors are vibrant, the kiddos love them - and I do to!Do they break easy? Absolutely. They are chalk. Don't expect anything sturdy, just use with care.Nothing negative about this purchase, happy with the price point. Perfect delivery, quick as usual. Did the job but does break easily.

I’ve tried off brand chalk and it just doesn’t show up as bold and bright. Or it doesn’t easily remove from a chalkboard. Crayola chalk is amazing. It’s bold and it erases easily. Highly recommend.
