I purchased this back in January and it is the best cupcake container I have owned. It is sturdy, holds the cupcakes well plus you can remove the inserts or flip them over and store cookies or charcuterie. You can use just one layer or both. As someone who bakes often and travels with them, this container is a must!!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this clever well designed product. Originally I purchased it to carry cupcakes, but I love the versatility of flipping it to the flat 1/4 sheet cake side for mini cupcakes & other foods, the tray can also be flipped and installed like a shelf which is awesome for cookies. Latches are all easy to open and close but also very secure. It’s light-weight but durable & attractive enough to use the tray inserts for serving as well.

I bought this looking for a nice cupcake carrier but, after receiving the product, realized what a great design it is. You can separate the carrier and bring a single layer, or leave it together for the double layer. It holds 12 cupcakes in each layer for a total of 24 if you're using both tiers. The white plastic tray in the bottom of each tier has rings to hold cupcakes or can be flipped to a flat surface for cookies, cakes, etc. The rings for cupcakes are tall enough to hold them securely in place. The tray also has handles to allow for easy lifting out of the plastic box. The lid snaps on in a way that is easy to fasten and unfasten, but not so easy that you have to worry about it opening when you don't want it to open. The handle on top is comfortable in your hand and sturdy enough. My only complaint is that the unit doesn't really break down for storage. It is kind of big and bulky and does take up a lot of cabinet space. I am a little jealous of some of the collapsible carriers on the market when it comes to storage but, when it comes to functionality, I haven't found anything that comes close to beating this product.

I investigated many other cupcake carriers before finally choosing to purchase the Snapware 2-layer cupcake holder/carrier. Honestly, none of them seemed to be perfect (ie combining great design with totally reliable, high-quality construction). However, from my research, and according to my opinion, the advantages of this model outweigh its potential flaws, and its affordable price-tag is yet another point in its favour. Advantages that I feel this model has over others include the following: - the detachable second layer means that you can carry 1 or 2 dozen cupcakes with equal ease (rather than just having one big box with a number of shelves, which is awkward for small loads) - the rectangular shape and removable/ reversible cupcake trays make this practical for carrying square, rectangular, and loaf cakes, or other foodstuffs (cookies, scones, savouries) rather than being a single-use cupcake-only item - the handle and trays appear quite sturdy Possible downsides to this item: - It does not appear to be designed to be airtight, meaning that it is better suited to cupcake transport rather than storage - Some cupcake carriers include a tray with smaller slots for mini cupcakes, which could be useful on occasion. However, I'm happy to pass up that option for the convenience of the smooth side of the trays. - The plastic used on the locks that attach the top tray to the lid/ handle, and the bottom tray to the top tray, appears to be much flimsier than that used in the trays/lid themselves. I plan to use a strap around the carrier to hopefully avoid potential disasters if, when carrying heavy load by the handle, one or both of the trays drops off. It may never happen, but it never hurts to be prepared in advance! One could also carry it by the bottom rather than the handle when it is very full. All in all, I am pleased with this item and hope to get much use out of it in the coming years.

This cupcake topper holder is great and fits 24 cupcakes nicely. It’s very versatile and works well for different uses. The only thing I would improve is the lid closure—four locking clips would be better than two. When it’s fully loaded with 24 cupcakes, the weight can cause the top handle to pull the lid open slightly, and over time it may not stay tightly closed.

I love baking cupcakes, and this is the perfect thing to carry them in. You have an upper and lower deck so you can even carry different things in each. It’s easy to wash and attractive enough to serve from.

I love this carrier! It’s sturdy and the decorated cupcakes stayed in individual circles and traveled well! Buy it!

Update- I thought I'd edit and add that the latch for the lid has broken after some time, as I assumed it would. It only gets used 2-4 times a year for birthdays or holidays, so I'm disappointed that I will already need to be replacing it. With this one latch broken the product is nearly useless, because you can no longer carry it by the handle safely without risking the lid busting off with the broken latch, and losing all of your baked goods to the floor. Hoping Snapware will make a sturdier version of this is in the future that is more true to their smaller food storage container quality- much thicker plastic, sturdy latches, and silicone to make it airtight. I was very excited for this because I thought it would be so helpful and versatile. It's cool that it can be useful for many baked goods- cupcakes, cookies, bars, cakes. Exactly what I wanted it for. Unfortunately the quality of the item has me bummed. It doesn't seem to be very airtight, so using it for more than a few hours for a batch of cookies or cupcakes seems pretty likely that they'll dry out. I was hoping to use it for keeping homemade cookies fresh when I'm not using it for transporting goodies. I'm not sure why it doesn't have the same silicone seal around the lid as most other snapware products have. The white trays inside are a super cool idea for the cupcakes or to have multiple tiers of other desserts- but again the quality ruined it. Ours came all warped and bent to where they don't stand straight and are very wobbly, which wouldn't be secure to place cookies on. The snap together pieces that keep the lid on also seem flimsy- they could easily break. It's a very thin piece of plastic holding the flap to the side of the container. For the $ you pay for this it doesn't seem as decent quality as it should be. Sadly.

This carrier is the must have, replacing (almost) all carriers. Aside from multi-layer cakes, this holds it all! I especially like that for cookies, or flat desserts, you can have 4 layers. I have showed a picture of a day where I had muffins and cookies and it was perfect! Love love love! Must have for any baker!

It arrived with a piece broken off and cracked down one corner. Contacted seller for replacement but no response. The plastic is also not as thick as I expected so would not recommend as in my case seems likely to break.
