Cat Groomer Loves This Comb
Used to be a professional cat groomer. I now work in another field but still groom my cats at home. They're all short-hair cats, but with very bountiful fur that can tangle and mat easily if they get too greasy. This comb is perfect to get out all the dead hair, and very helpful during blow-dry. Yes, cats should be bathed and a good rule of thumb is 4 times a year; every solstice and every equinox. They have greasy skin, dandruff and dander just like dogs and humans. Anyway - this is a great comb. Chris Christensen is a great brand and this seller provided my purchase promptly with clear instructions on how to return if needed. For those new to combing cats, remember to have this type of comb meet the skin at a 45 degree angle; light pressure and long, smooth strokes down the length of the body. The 'face/feet/tail' comb is another good buy for cat owners. Easier to handle for daily combings on short-hairs.

Best combs by far don’t buy another brand! 003 and 000 are the best! If your a professional groomer
Awesome comb, so far my favorite... by far. I’ve searched far and wide for a comb that grabs the dogs hair the way I want and this is it. This comb is what you want and need if your a professional groomer. The 003 and the 000. I could’ve saved a ton of money. Literally spent hundreds on crap, numerous hundreds on my search to a great comb. Then one day I came across a brush by another groomer made by Chris Christianson that I fell in love with. So I bought that. Then said to myself what the hell, it’s a bit pricey but so was the brush it’ll be worth it if it’s the real deal, now I only wish I would’ve found these sooner. Although pricey they will outlast the cheap and will work way better. They get every single hair. Wonderful combs! Well made will last forever

Great comb
Great comb. 2 thicknesses so when you encounter a mat, you can just flip the comb around to work it out. I have a Pomeranian and I groom her daily. While grooming is not her favorite activity, she tolerates it and doesn't fight me or try to get away. Just be sure to work very slowly on your dog's coat so you are not pulling the fur. You can't comb straight through until you have gently worked out the tangles.

Love It!
Just like some other reviewers, I bought the cheap comb first. It was ok but my dog hated it and it took quite awhile to get mats out. So I bit the bullet and bought the buttercomb. The extra course was recommended for rough collies and it's been wonderful. I don't use the "fine" side at all. I use the extra coarse end of the comb behind her ears every 2-3 days and now she has no more mat issues. She is still not crazy about the use/idea of a comb but I think she's still associating seeing a comb with the first purchase. After she realizes it's the buttercomb, she settles down and let's me work in her typical problem areas. It glides very smoothly, and with the aid of your fingers working along with the comb, doesn't pull. It detangles her fine coat with little effort. The buttercomb also feels nice in your hand.

Works very well
Gripping the comb hurts the hand since there isn’t a handle. It seems very sturdy though. I haven’t tried another comb so i don’t know the difference.

Doesn't go through my goldendoodle's fur like butter but it works fairly well
Doesn't go through my goldendoodle's fur like butter but it works fairly well. Especially like the course teeth on this model.
