Great and sturdy product! I bought one of those wide "cross cross chairs" often advertised on social media. For some reason they had sent the wheel-less version even though I chose the option with wheels. After about two years of constantly having to pick up and scoot the chair on carpet I was tired of it. I had some big roller blade type wheels and nowhere to put them, so I bought this to replace the base of the chair and it works great. Easy to put together and holds up. It also lifted my chair a little higher so it's even more comfortable to sit in, and it's made of metal so no flimsy plastic.

I have an office chair that I really like but recently a couple of the plastic caster inserts in the base had cracked. I really didn't want to buy a new chair and so when I found this replacement on Amazon, I was hopeful that this would fix it. I'm here to tell you I am extremely happy with this base. The structural portion is all steel, even the holes where the casters insert. Yes, you do have to attach the legs to the hub and secure with the included screws. The backside of the head of the screws are ribbed to act like a lock washer but I went ahead and applied some blue thread locker to the screws before inserting them. Make sure you tighten the screws several times as you're putting the legs on. Go around and fully tighten them one last time before thinking you're done. The screws should not move when fully tightened. I now have my chair working like new at a fraction of the cost of buying a whole new chair. I will add one final note and that is you might have a hard time removing the old base from the cylinder. There are many YouTube videos. I finally had to take a hack saw to my old base to get it to let go of the cylinder.

After receiving little assistance from my chair manufacturer’s support team, I decided to purchase this office chair base replacement, and I’m very glad I did. The product has an excellent appearance, finished in a polished jet black, and feels extremely sturdy. Assembly was quick and straightforward. I simply transferred the wheels from my old base, seated the chair into the center cylinder, and was back to using it in under 15 minutes. An added benefit is that the footprint is slightly smaller, by a couple of inches, than the original base, so my feet no longer bump into it while sitting. Overall, this replacement appears to be of higher quality than the original, and I expect it will last even longer.

Bought this base to add to an office chair. I believe it’s noted in the description but this base does NOT come with wheels. Not an issue I already had some. The base itself gets loose every couple of months or so and it’s not a huge deal, just need to retighten the screws. You’ll know because the chair will start rattling and then you’ll see the legs are a little wobbly. So far retightening has worked and no issues with stripping. Overall a good product.

OMG this is what I needed to fix my chair. I bought a chair here on amazon a few months ago but always had issues with the wheels skidding. Rolling around was fine until you sat in it and moved toward the desk. I would buy wheels thinking it was the issue. When I got to looking it was the legs; they holes for the wheels was widening and causing the issue. This was easy to install with no issues and durable for my large chair. It looks good on my chair and the size is perfect for my large chair. I wished I would have bought this replacement along time ago instead of wheels.

This base is much more durable and sturdy than most of the bases we've had come with most of our new chairs. This base is metal and is one piece. Installation is quick.

The original base that came with my Emerge chair was cheap and immediately broke shortly after the warranty ended, and I stupidly stuck with it resetting the wheel in it until I came across this excellent and solid replacement! Grateful this was available to keep me from leaning or all of a sudden dropping a few inches to the ground and sliding out of my chair.

The legs came damaged like this from the manufacturer as you can see in the photos they are not straight they are bent and it's causing the wheels to not properly move would not recommend this product to anyone try to reach out to the manufacturer for support they would not do anything about it they said it was Amazon's responsibility Amazon said it was the manufacturer's responsibility since the defect was made by the manufacturer the manufacturer is refusing to do anything about it and so is Amazon do not buy this product!!!!!!

I have a £125 "gamer chair" I've had for just over a year now, and one of the wheels popped off.. Because even though the base seemd quality it was plastic and was "honeycomb" around where the wheels clip in... Its this what broke, and this has been the offender for every chair. The missus suggested buying a new chair for £100+ but that seemed a total waste, and then I spotted this... Solid metal? £26? Seemed too good to be true? So it arrived, the alan key supplied is pretty poor quality but one end will work, so it's all assembled, I slap on the old wheels that came with the chair and boom! Winner winner chicken dinner, the seats as good as new! It is much higher than the old one, but everything seems better, sounds quiter on the floor boards, doesn't seem to creak as much, just feels really good and solid. I play a lot of online games from FPS to MMOROGs and pretty much everyone I know has had these issues, even with "£200+" chairs, now I'm glad I've found something to recommend... And I'm even more happy the "throw away society" didn't win this round with what's a perfectly fine chair (and perfect with this item on it).

Se ve fuerte y estable. Facil de armar pero la paquetería dej9 el paquete sin llamar a la puerta y solo enfrente de la cochera aventado y por suerte estábamos en la casa y salimos de inmediato al recibir mensaje de entregado o se lo habrían podido robar. PESIMO!!!

Va genial, a sido una buena compra, se utiliza a diario, y queda mucho más firme la silla.

I had a “tough plastic” base for my office chair that turned out to be as fragile as icing sugar. The chair is great though and very comfortable so I took a chance and got this base. It’s brilliant. Easy to assemble, well packaged and the finish is flawless. I’m really glad I got it.
