The last one worked reliably for over 20 years.
I bought this to replace an identical unit that passed away in its sleep after running 24/7 in my home for the past 20 years. It does what I want, which is to distribute 10/100 through my home backbone reliably. I have no reason not to believe this one won't last me for the next 20 years.

Love D-Link stuff
It's VERY hard to beat D-Link for the money. I've heard people talk bad about D-Link, but after using a fair number of their products long-term, I have only had one failure- a DI-524 FIRST GENERATION. That makes it about 10 years old. For a cheap wireless router that was routinely exposed to 110+ degree ambient temperatures, I'd say that's not too bad. But that's not what the review is for. This is the third D-Link 16 port switch I've installed, and just like the others, it just sits there and does it's job. Just like it should. No fuss.

works as advertised. Fast delivery and easy set up. Just what I was looking for. I also noticed an increase in my bandwidth, how ever this could be because I was no longer using several different routers to accommodate all of my devises. All in all, good buy!
