Amore Matte Lip Creme - Babe

I am obsessed and have been for YEARS. If anyone, anywhere, at any time were to ask me who my best friend, ride-or-die, love of my life is, I wouldn’t say my husband, I’d say Milani Satin Lip Crème. Does this make me insane? Yes, clinically and happily. It glides on like other brands commercials want you to think theirs does, but they’re liars. I’ve tried those other brands, yet this is the only liquid lip I keep in my car, purse, at work - you name a place, I’ve left a quarter-full tube of this there. The color is perfect, my two go-to’s are 01 and 02, but the red is also phenomenal. It stays on 12+ hours, after three to four drinks and a Taco Bell Beefy Five Layer Burrito I am only doing a slight touch up - if at all. The consistency and applicator make it so I don’t have to use a lip liner, and it doesn’t bleed whatsoever. I was on the fence about this color because it looks super purple in the pictures but ya know what? I really dig it! It’s definitely darker than anything I normally wear, but when I put it on my husband said my lips looked luscious and ran in to put his face on my face for smooches. YES PLEASE! We’ve been together 12 years and he’s never even used the WORD luscious, let alone used it to describe my face pillows.😍 I’m pretty stoked if I do say so myself. The deets on this lippy. It’s kind of a deep purplish red on me, there is a lot in the tube, it glides on effortlessly, it’s not overly drying on my lips and it dries like paint but not in a bad way. I mean that it’s basically like shellacking your lips with color because this stuff does not come off. It’s not only smudge proof, it’s almost make out proof as well! I say almost because I did leave some faint smooch stains on my Mr.’s face, but out of all the lipsticks I’ve tried thus far, it’s the most smudge proof. Even compared to my Fenty mattes! I’m literally shocked. I also like that I didn’t have to use a lipliner. Omg it’s so easy to get a sharp lip outline with this! No blotting needed btw. The only annoying part about this lippy is that it’s stupid hard to remove. I mean I used jojoba, various toners, and straight up isopropyl alcohol but there was STILL a little hint of color on my lips. I actually had to have my husband reformulate the CBD toner we make so I could finally take this stuff off with one cotton pad instead of using 20 and scrubbing my lips until they are on fire and I look like someone punched me in the mouth. I didn’t take off a star though because, I mean, if I want a lipstick that doesn’t smudge, it stands to reason that it’s gonna be like removing old paint to get it off. Gotta take a little bad with the good ya know? I took a couple of pics close up and farther away so you can see what it looks like on a chocolate gal. I probably should have posted better ones but it was late, I was about to take off my makeup and tired as all get out so I figured as long as I at least attempted modesty by covering my décolletage, we’re good.🤷🏽‍♀️ It’s the lips that are important anyway!🤪 I know that lipstick can look different on different skin tones, so I always try to post a pic for other darker skinned women so ya can have an idea of what it looks like on darker skin..🤓 As always no filters or flash, just my big ole face on display with only my bathroom lights on.🥴 I love this lipstick and I bought it in 5 other colors, hopefully they will all work out for me!🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 ***UPDATE **** The other colors I bought are AWESOME! Especially Amore. I included 2 pics of that color because it’s glorious. It’s this brilliant , almost femme fatale comic book heroine red and I.am.LOVING.it. I feel like I should be fighting crime in a tricked out moserati or something! It’s more drying than the other lippies in this line, but it’s still pretty great. Also, if you are struggling between obsession and gorgeous, may I suggest you try obsession? They are both very similar colors on my African American skin but obsession has more firepower and is more highly pigmented. Gorgeous is like it’s shy 2nd cousin.

Beautiful colors

Got at a great price. When i recived there was no protective plastic and there was lipstick below the cap, so clearly opened before i received it. Wasnt the best feeling. But i tried the color. No complaints. Milani matte creme is the best. Stays in place all night. Blends well with other colors!

I spent months looking for the perfect nude lip color. I have natural- medium light skin with a yellow undertone. So looking for a neutral color is tricky. I purchased the shade adorable, and was very satisfied with it. It's a pinkish-brown color which makes it a good everyday look kind of wear. It's the 'perfect' nude, but it's definitely the best I've tried on so far. First pic is without flash, second with flash. It glides on creamy then dries up matte after around 3 seconds. Though it sort of feels very drying. Exfoliating your lips before AND after is a must. Just like every matte lip tint out there, if your lips aren't prepped properly, the formula would accentuate every crack and line on your lips. The smell is very sweet, bordering on vanilla. It doesn't linger though. Wear time is decent enough. Doesn't wipe away when you scrub it off, so you'll need an oil based remover (like vaseline). Only con is my lips feel very dry after I wear it. And when you dab your lips with tissue/ a dry towel, it would pick up particles from it.

Ladies this goes on very smoothly and feels light on the lips, dries immediately so you need to put it on rather quickly. I purchased this because it is described as more of a mauvy color with some deeper pink undertones, but as you can see it dries in more of a burgundy brown undertone. It may even appear a bit more of wine or berry tones, but be clear.....there is Absolutely No pink tone in this whatsoever! Not sheer, does not last all day. Anastasia products are better matte products. I've ordered a different one..."Plush" color because it seems to have the pink mauve tone I prefer. Hopefully that will be correct. The seller needs to photograph actual people wearing the different colors instead of stock photos of just the lipstick. We need to see and know which numbers each color coordinates with. This is just lazy and sloppy marketing and I don't appreciate it considering the price per ounce on these products.

Fabulous color

This is the most expensive lipstick I have ever bought and it was a huge disappointment. It is advertised as all day lasting and, of course, that is not true. It lasts about an hour, if your lucky and don't lick your lips, kiss someone, eat, or anything else lip related. Amazon was kind enough to give me a refund, because it was going in the trash no matter what. It is also extremely dry. I could live with that if I wasn't worried about it bleeding onto my face while wearing. I chose this lip product from a magazine article about long lasting lipsticks. Not a good buy at all.
