A Realm of Shadows (Kings and Sorcerers-Book 5) [Rice, Morgan] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. A Realm of Shadows (Kings and Sorcerers-Book 5) Review: Almost over - I've read books 1-5 and will start on the final book of this series shortly. The books are truly action packed. Every chapter ends with somebody in peril. Lots of good people die along the way and that's to be expected. But there are a group of characters who have been through so much they deserve to end the book standing. To name a few Kyra, Kyle, Merck, Duncan, Aidan, and Alec. Kyra made me angry a few times. She had so much power but time and time again felt insecure and didn't use the powers as early as she could have. Or maybe that was the author's way of demonstrating Kyra learning. A great series. Well worth the read. Full of suspense, adventures, and heartache. Review: Was so anxious to get to next book forget to review. - When I realized I had missed reviewing a couple books in Kings and Sorcerers, and Mr Rices' previous epic, amazing saga The Sorcerers Ring in my haste to get on to the next book I had to fix that oversight. These books are full of everything we readers look for. Characters that slip from the pages and enter our hearts. A story filled with every emotion known to us There are knights, trolls, kings, and dragons! Offset by ordinary people who reach extrodinary heights. All together just waiting for you to open to chapter one, page one, and begin your adventure.

a great continuance of the book series
As with every book in the series I have read I enjoyed it very much. I couldn't put it down I cannot wait for the next book to come out in this series. I can't wait to find out how Duncan fares when the great raw tries to trick him by being his daughter and I can't wait to see what she does in the land of the trolls. I'm excited to see that the next book is already set to be released soon. Keep them coming. Kathy

Get away from reality and give in to your inner adventurous side.
As in all of Morgan Rice books this is a continuation of non stop story telling from so many varied characters in which the story revolves around. I have read all of The Sorcerer's Ring (twice) and am currently reading book 5 of the Kings and Sorcerers series. These allow me to break away from everyday bad news and feelings and allow me to put myself in a fictional realm of action, drama, suspense and intense action. You can't foresee what will happen next which is another reason I love these books, you never know what will happen next and by anticipating you set yourself up for failure, which, makes you turn the next page and keep reading. Would I recommend these books? Wholeheartedly!!!! In fact I have recommended and then had some very good discussions with those who are now Morgan Rice fans over the books and series.

Good Series, Could Be Great!
The Kings and Sorcerers book series by Morgan Rice has the possibility of being a great series. This six-book fantasy series is full of many well-developed characters, fantastically crafted settings, a well thought out story flow, and some great and we'll written action scences. That being said, it misses its sought after possible greatness as a series, and the ability to lull the reader into that all important reading nirvana simply because it could use editing. It is such a shame too. I truly believe that this could be a best seller in my ratings. What are the issues that marr this from becoming stupendous? (I offer this with great respect.) There are the usual extra words, wrong word order, or wrong word tense (things I would consider minor fixes), along with dialogue that's a tad stiff, but then you have the wrong character name inserted into a scene (incredibly detracting), and scenes where characters use another character's name, when you know there's been no way that character should/would/could know that particular characters name as there's been no meeting or interaction (this happens with the Dragon's name too) between them or possible way they could know that character's name; but there was also a scene in book four where a character had a magic net thrown over him and was captured by the troll leader before the end of that book (Kyle), and then in book five when we revisit this character it's as if it had never happened: very confusing. The multi-character story flowed so smoothly, and has great potential, so much so that I truly wish for it to achieve the aclaim that it deserves. I would happily re-read and re-review this fantastic series once it has been run through another indepth editing. I look forward to more from this imaginative author.

Invaders abound!
True to her storyline , Morgan Rice has one battle after another happening in the war to rule Escalon. Who will win remains to be seen. Determined armies of Pandesians, Trolls and Escalonites fight for victory over one another in a seemingly endless battle of wits. However, treachery serves as a major obstacle to those trying to gain their freedom from the tyrannical leader of the Pandesian army. I enjoy the story but hate the editing snafus that abound throughout.

Great story Lots of suspence kept One thing I like about the series is that it has mixed emotions and not only single emotion like in some books which start sad and end sad though it is my personal preference

Tolles Buch als Teil einer tollen Reihe. Sehr schön zu lesen und fesselt, dass die Zugfahrt oder ähnliches wie im Flug vergeht.

I was delighted that this book only enhanced the series, Kings and Sorcerers. Books 1 to 5 have been brilliant and I cannot wait to read book 6. Morgan Rice is a craftsman at writing thrilling fantasy tales.
