350ml It is a large capacity ink. Color: Black / Type: General writing ink Review: Pilot Namiki 350ml Ink for Fountain Pens - I first got into fountain pens starting with a Pilot Kakuno and Prera. I believe this is the same ink used in the cartridges that come with those pens. I have only tried a few other inks, but came right back to Namiki black and Namiki blue for daily use. These work well with the finer nibs and standard paper I use - paper not specifically for fountain pens - such as printer paper and spiral notebooks (e.g., ASIN: B003O2RXWE). With this setup, the ink does not bleed through the page or feather. The color of the ink is standard but bold and satisfying. I like the consistency too - it does not seem "watery" or "sludgy". It has a bit of water resistance so that it can withstand some moisture and not just wash off the page. However, I like that it is not pigmented so that I can leave my pens loaded up with it and not worry about gunking up the feeds and nibs. It also seems to resist drying up in my pens, so I can pick them up after a few weeks and start writing without having to clean them out. I previously purchased smaller 60 ml bottles (e.g., ASIN: B005WPTYAA) which themselves lasted me a few years. This 350 ml bottle can be used to refill smaller bottles like those, and smaller bottles can in turn be used to refill pens. I used an eye dropper in my first attempt to transfer ink from the big bottle to a smaller bottle. It worked well and I avoided losing ink or making a mess. Both the 350 ml bottle and 60 ml bottles are mostly glass, with a bit of plastic. Assuming the 350 ml bottle doesn't dry out or get misplaced, it will provide about six refills of a 60 ml bottle, which is awesome. Much of the stuff we consume is disposable and we tend not to think about it too much. I'm guessing that the waste created by disposable pens and pencils isn't a significant part of the burden we put on the environment. However, there's something very satisfying about the cost effectiveness and sustainability that are possible with fountain pens. Review: You know you want it and YES it is sooo worth it !!! - Your standard wonderful Pilot / Namiki Black Ink in a ginormous container at an AWESOME price! The seller was eXcellent and the ink is exactly what you get in Pilot or Namiki black cartridges. It flows smooth and wet in all my fountain pens, is easy to clean out and works well in my brush pens too. The ink is not the blackest black but depending on how it's put down ranges from deep black to dark charcoal gray which gives it a nice little bit of character in different pens. I would recommend trying this ink out in cartridge form before purchasing this biggee sized bottle BUT it's just such a well behaved classic ink you really cannot go wrong. That said keep in mind this is a bulk refill size and not something you dip your pen into so be sure to have an appropriate container like an old ink bottle that you can refill and use. I've attached some pictures to give everyone an idea of what you are getting. The bottle is large and has a cap similar to what many asian sauces come in, there's a plastic pull tab which when removed creates a slit opening that makes pouring very easy. The cap closes firmly but since I doubt I will be going through this ink quickly I wrapped the cap with teflon tape to create a better seal. I don't know what the rules are on reviews but I included some other common ink bottles for size comparison and I turned the names away or blurred them but as you can see this is a lot of ink. Great ink and an amazing value, highly recommended!!!

Amazing Ink, Incredible Value, and an Excellent Shade of Black
Pilot Black ink (350 ml size) is an excellent value ink that writes in a beautiful, aesthetic shade of black. I usually use Noodler's Black, which has its own qualities such as being waterproof, permanent ink etc. Yet, it is a different shade of Black, a little more on the brown side, perhaps like a night permeated with the golden glow of the moon. This black is the actual black, like charcoal black, like the night tinged with starlight -- and no moon. In my opinion, this black ink is a subtle reflection of a culture. You can see this elegance in Japanese paintings. You can try it on TomoeRiver paper and see what I mean. The value is great with this ink. This is the cheapest fountain pen ink on the web by far. I initially bought it for fountain pen calligraphy using a modified Pilot Parallel pen, which gulps ink bottles dry. This will hold it for a while. Also, I expected a mediocre ink, considering the price. (For price comparison, check out ANY fountain pen ink except Noodler's). What I received is an excellent ink, which is quite elegant in writing, smooth and consistent in flow (in many of my pens including brush and calligraphy pens), and best fit for the most expensive, elegant pens that I have. The package arrived quickly-- one day shipping. The cap is sealed, so no leaking. The package contained enough cushion for accident absorption. In sum, this ink is no brainer, really. If you are looking for a black ink, give this a try. You won't be disappointed.

My Go-To Ink
My go-to ink. I have dozens of inks -- including some lovely "boutique" inks -- and I love Iroshizuku Take-sumi... it might be my favorite ink... but good ol' Pilot Black is what I reach for. It's not quite as dark as Take-sumi, but it is better behaved. Sometimes in my Pilot pens, Take-sumi just starts flowing way too much, seemingly for no reason. Pilot Black never does that. Little to no feathering. Well lubricated. Extremely easy to clean. The Iroshizuku bottles are elegant and beautiful, but less practical than the Pilot 70 ml bottles or the Namiki 60 ml bottles. (Actually, I find the Namiki bottle plenty elegant.) I like that the ink is also available in cartridges. I keep a box of the cartridges in my bag, so that if my "bulk fill" from the bottle runs out while I am traveling or out and about, I can just plug in a cartridge and keep going with the same ink. People have mentioned the odor. Personally, I have never noticed it, but then, I don't smell good. And of course, the value: you want your go-to ink to be reasonably priced. Well, you just can't get better value than the Pilot inks in the 350 ml bottles.

Not bad, not bad at all!
Decent it overall. Especially when you look at the cost per millimeter. Not water resistant. Does feather on non-fountain pen friendly paper. For me I found that using this ink in a wetter fountain pen worked better. Good black color, no sheen but sometimes a bit of shine. BE CAREFUL when you open the bottle. Can spill. If I knew it before hand I may have scored it with a x-acto knife. Will need to have other bottles to pour into.

Good quality
Good for price.

Good quantity of ink, not so much for quality.
Unfortunately I only had 1 leaf of a Rhodia pad left, so I wasn't able to test the ink on a whole lot of high quality paper, but as to be expected with the Rhodia paper it looks dark, a charcoal dark not really black black. And on cheap dollar tree and walmarts pen and gear paper it looks even lighter. Feathering isn't a problem on Rhodia with either a 2.4mm or extra fine nib; and bleedthrough is also not a problem on Rhodia. Not quite as lucky for the cheap papers; feathering isn't too horrendous on them, but will be a problem for calligraphy nibs and those who can't write quickly enough. Bleedthrough is also a problem on the cheap papers, you definitely won't be using both sides of the paper. The ink is quite water resistant on Rhodia paper still being very legible, and pretty much waterproof on the absorbent cheap papers with almost no ink running off, all run under hot water for 30 seconds. If you have good quality paper it's not a bad deal, and for practicing with, and maybe the bottle I got just wasn't up to snuff, but if you want a true black, relatively cheap, waterproof ink in large a quantity, that'll also work on cheap paper, I'd recommend Noodler's Heart of Darkness. Even just Noodler's Bulletproof Black. Platinum Carbon Black is also a fantastic ink, though a little more pricey.

Redeemer for super dry pens
Pilot Blue Black (and now Pilot Black) are my to-go inks when a pen has flow issues. It's a very well behaved, lubricated ink and the price/volume ratio is hard to beat. You *will* need to find some empty ink bottles of your own however, because it's not possible to fill directly from this container. Goulet Pens has Diamine bottles for under a dollar (or fancy looking Iroshizuku and Faber Castell bottles for about $6 or so). EDIT: It's not marketed as a document ink per se, but it's very water resistant. I just put a sheet under warm running water for a good 30 seconds, and after the top layer got washed away, the writing still remained fully crisp and legible. I'm thinking of making this one my main ink at the office, especially after an incident involving MontBlanc Black, a bottle of Topo Chico and a bunch of lost meeting notes :/

Good ink but the current prices are very high
Really good ink. I bought it when it was offered on a discount otherwise the price too high.

Great workhorse ink with "Japanese" feel to it
I really like the "Japanese" sort of calligraphic feel of this black ink, it has good flow properties and is more like a very dark grey than pitch black, once it dries. Once on the page it dries relatively quick and never had a problem with it smudging. The ink does well even on crappy paper, especially if you dilute it a little with water in a separate vial or mini-bottle, you can get great lighter greys to write with too. Another really good part is that it washes out of pens effortlessly with just regular water flushing, leaving no stains or residue. I trust this ink in any pen, even the most expensive and finicky now, so the large volume bottle is a desirable acquisition. It's a workhorse without any amazing frills, and sees good regular use in my rotation.

Good but not the best
It was my first choice for fountain pen ink till I found Noodler’s Black.

品質等に問題なし
使い切るのは来世に持ち越しです。 山に篭って作品を書く文豪のような方ではない限り使いきれません(笑) 自分は詰め替え式筆ペンに注入して使っています。 老後に川柳でも嗜もうかと思っております。
