Dependable
I purchased mine November of 2016 and it still works like new. If you're looking for a dependable easy to use coffee maker this is it. Makes a regular or bold cup of delicious coffee. Keep warm feature has three heat settings. Clean light automatically comes on when it's time for descaling. Has a filter for the water. Easy to use clock settings with automatic start feature. Uses #4 cone filters and comes with a gold cone filter. Great coffee maker well worth the price.

I trust this coffee maker
The perfect coffee maker with the 'right' amount of features for me. After having a bad coffee maker, I went on a quest to find the best coffee maker for me. I bought this coffee maker during their black Friday sale. It's a bit pricey but worth it, considering I rely on it EVERY morning. It's absolutely perfect after a month of use with no signs of wear. The clock is easy to set and is actually reliable. (My previous coffee maker forced me to adjust the clock every day by 2 minutes) The auto on feature has worked flawlessly. The auto off feature allows for up to a full 5 hours of perfectly heated coffee. (You can adjust the temperature if necessary) The coffee filter holder is removable so you can throw your old grounds out without making a mess. It's also a bit larger than most which allows the coffee grounds to expand without any water leaking out. The carafe has a normal thumb press hinge lid on it which allows you to fill and measure your water easily. (I actually like the built in measuring system in the tank itself, I thought I'd miss the water fill window but I don't) The separate lights make it easy to discern which state your coffee maker is in. Example: Your spouse makes coffee and sets the auto on for the morning without telling you. You go to prepare coffee for the morning but a mere glance tells you it's already prepared. Easy to clean and I expect this to last due to the quality of the build. Finally, a coffee maker I can trust.

Very good coffee maker!
S far, we really like this Braun coffee maker. It makes very good coffee, with options for auto on auto off, strength of coffee, warming plate, temperature, number of cups to be brewed, etc. it took me a while to get everything figured out, but I think I have it now! The coffee maker is sleek, looking and compact. I’ve been using the gold filter rather than using paper filters, and the coffee is great. Easy to clean up as well. I did quite a bit of hunting for a coffee maker this time. I have been using a Keurig K cup machine and was tired of the expense of the pods as well as the amount of waste I was creating and having to get rid of. Try out the Braun Brew Sense!

Time to failure
I purchased this unit in December of 2024 and the Auto Brew function failed to function in March of 2026 so I essentially got full functionality of the unit for 16 months. Sadly, I really loved every other aspect of this coffee maker. It consistently brews an excellent urn of coffee and as I drink a lot of coffee through the day, the stay warm timer that extends the hot plate time up to 5 hours was a great convenience. Brew speed was excellent.

Dependable Braun quality and a good cup of coffee in 9-10 mins
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Have owned many Braun coffeemakers over the years. Have used many other brands, but we always come back to Braun. This unit is simple and appealing in stainless steel & black plastic. Takes 9 -10 mins to brew a full 12 cup pot of coffee. Keep warm pad has 3 temp settings. Has timers and pre-set brew features I just don’t use. I like the glass carafe…it has good pour angles that help to make spilling less likely than other carafe’s I have used. Everything is dishwasher safe. Only thing I’m not thrilled about is the stainless steel top attached to the plastic cover…Looks nice, but feels like I have to be careful about closing that top heavy cover. Overall I recommend this excellent 12 cup coffeemaker! Brewing capacity: 12 cup Value for money: Reasonable price

I HATE this coffee maker.
I am not too impressed with the "features" on this coffee maker. My biggest gripe: The water level indicator for the reservoir is inside the reservoir with some sort of stepped dip stick of sorts. You are suppose to look into this dark reservoir and see the level of the water against this indicator. My coffee maker is black making it hard to see a water level against a black background. Braun needs to put a window that can be read from the outside much easier; the way they have done in the past with a float showing the water level clearly. Another feature: a 1 to 4 cup setting that is never explained fully. Instructions say to use this feature if you are making 1 to 4 cups and explain how to turn it on. Absolutely NO description of what it does. Does it brew faster, slower, more water, less water; who knows. Glad I didn't buy the higher end models. More worthless features I'm sure. I had a hard time finding a coffee maker with a cone filter. None of the manufactures make it clear what type of filter they use. Braun included. I feel cone coffee makers make better coffee especially when brewing small quantities. This one has a cone filter. The pros: It makes coffee. Hence the three stars. Update: I have been using this coffee maker for a couple of weeks now and felt compelled to update this review. I HATE THIS COFFEE MAKER!!! I mentioned the problem with determining the water level in the reservoir. Still a problem but, I also found out Braun decided to make it difficult to fill using the carafe. The lid on the carafe and the lid coffee maker are in the way of each other and prevent a decent pour resulting in water all over the burner and counter sometimes. Did anyone at Braun test the design? The coffee maker has an auto shutoff too. Always a nice feature when you forget to turn it off manually. And this maker has an adjustable time for the auto off. The problem is you have to turn the auto off feature on in order for it to work. Great! A feature for the forgetfulness that requires you to remember. I have changed the 3 stars to 1 and the review title to more accurately reflect how I feel about this piece. Too much to $end it back and too much of a hassle. Someone at Goodwill will soon find a new coffee maker on the shelf. I am now looking for something else. Something other than a Braun. It is too bad. Had a Braun for years and loved it.

which I liked because we only really use one serving of coffee ...
Spent quite a while skimming through reviews on here and on other websites. I ultimately landed on this coffee maker. I wanted something that looked sleek and modern, something that didn't take up too much counter space. I was coming from a Krups Cafe Duomo II; never used the espresso side of it so I couldn't comment on that, but after a year of use (it was hand me down that was never used, so it was like-new condition), I realized other coffee makers made hotter coffee. My parents who gave it to me initially have a Keurig, which I liked because we only really use one serving of coffee usually, but I hated how they looked. Kitchenaid made a nice looking personal size coffee maker but the thing was darn tall. Their drip coffee makers looked pretty awesome too, but reviews were lukewarm (no pun intended). I started leaning towards Bonavita, it was sub $150, had, stellar reviews, but when I saw a video review the thing looked maybe as big as the Krups Cafe Duomo II that I had, so that was nixed. Everything else I liked was above $150, then I stumbled on this. Reviews about coffee quality seem to be above par, it took up a lot less space (not as tall as the kitchenaid variants as well), had that stainless look I wanted, but not too much where it looked cheap like the cheaper coffee makers that just looked gimmicky. So I went with this one and don't regret it. The coffee comes out piping hot, the warm plate seems to keep it fairly warm (has multiple settings as well if you don't like it too hot), there's a cleaning reminder on it, bold and regular settings. The carafe doesn't seem to drip (did one time because we poured way too fast, like dumping the coffee out), and anti-drip system seems to work well too (Krups would leak when it would stop mid flow). You can purchase a thermo carafe if you choose so from Braun as well if you wanted that. I love how there is no steam that comes out from this unit like cheaper units and my previous Krups did. You don't see condensation on top. They made it form instead and drip back into the water well, so you can turn it on and push it back under the cabinets without worrying about moisture getting on your wooden cabinets. The water well is a little smaller, but we haven't had issues; we pour from the mug to measure how much coffee we make. The only things I didn't like were the buttons felt a little spongy (not premium), and that "premium" display looks really cheap (contrast is lacking, no brightness settings, cant keep it off unless you unplug it). One thing that would make this even better is if the lid was slow closing mechanism so it doesn't slam (for something about $80+ depending on the finish you get). Minor things, I would get this 4.5/5 if I could, but rounded up because I'm really happy with the quality of coffee this makes (not a coffee conosuier by any chance though, but it tastes a lot better now, much smoother and hotter).

Great looks and Great Brewed Coffee
This Braun BrewSense looks sleek on my counter. it has a small footprint and fits neatly next to my small air fryer. The various options are not needed by me, but nice to have…just in case. My old beloved coffee maker had a horrible looking metal heating/ warmer base. My new beauty seems to have a clean black plastic(?) base. the carafe pours w/o dripping and its lid can pop off completely or just lifts and stays up for rinsing. I am not fond of not being able to see the amount of water that the reservoir holds. And the reservoir is a bit hard for my 82yr old hand/and arm to pour water into. But I am getting used to these minor inconveniences. This pot comes w/an optional water filter that (if used) should be changed every 3 months!! I hate that kind of maintenance. Thank goodness I have R/O water at my kitchen sink. I also bought cone shaped #4 paper filters to more easily discard used coffee grounds. I haven’t tried just using the copper colored reusable filter w/o the paper filters yet. I bought this pot on “Sale” for about $80. Overall i am delighted with this coffee maker. 80 bucks well spent.

Has everything you need
This is a great coffee machine. It does everything you would want from a new coffee machine. It has several settings to make everyday coffee making much easier. I like that I can set an auto timer for coffee making in the morning. Nothing better than waking up to the smell of fresh coffee. This coffee maker has a full heating pad that does not shut off after 15 minutes, you can set a timer for this too so no worries about leaving the hot plate on too long. The included filter works very well, usually these allow little bits to fall through but not this one. This product is super easy to clean, easy to refill and easy to set timers. I suggest watching a youtube video as the manual is boring. If I had one bad thing to say about this coffee machine, it would be that the glass coffee jug breaks easily. I broke mine the second day when throwing it in the dishwasher, my fault, I sometimes dont know my own strength. Overall great coffee machine especially for the price.
