does alarm lab have customer phone support? I purchased this same dialer from discount treasurers did'nt understand the limited instructions.

The product does not have direct phone support. I had a problem accessing the web page to set up my text messages and voice computer generator messages and contacted Discount Treasurers, they indicated that they would get me a contact for support but before I received that information I figured it out myself. You have to enter the web page correctly "http://ftpalarm.com:9000" and then enter the phone numbers and text and voice messages you wish it to send out once a 12volt DC signal is received by the dialer. You can access the web site anytime and change the messages you wish for it to send out.

I have satilite internet service. Will this dialer work with this type service?

should work with any internet service that is live 24/7.

Do you need to download a file to windows for this to work? Downloaded from company website and stated not safe?

No download of any file is necessary. You have to go to their website and enter info to make the dialer function.

Does laptop have to stay connected once the setup is complete?

No. But the device must go into the router. I don't have the device connected to the computer but directly into the router. The router must be connected to the internet and powered up.
