It works great

I'm using this as a 13.8 volt power supply to run a 5 watt amateur radio using 4 18650 cells, so there's really no risk of over temp conditions. The voltage output is stable and accurate, measured with a Fluke 87 V. I initially considered assembling my own power supply, but the DROK is a better choice. Assembly and use are easy, and although the included instructions are a bit clunky (for lack of a better term) there are a handful of videos on Y-tube that help to clarify operation.

The first of these units arrived without electronics or assembly hardware. I returned it and requested a replacement. The replacement had the following problems: 1. No assembly instructions. This was not a big problem, as it is pretty obvious how the unit is to be assembled, but a simple diagram would have saved the few minutes needed to dope this out. 2. Minimal operating instructions. Basically it consists of notes on the pictures of the unit. 3. The output voltage could not be adjusted. As the pot controlling this was turned, the output voltage went from the full input value (11.4 volts in this case) to less than 1 volt, with nothing in between. 4. The display flickers and the output current was not displayed in any of the four display modes. 5. There was some evidence that I received a unit that had been previously used. The LCD display had a small scratch and a number of smudges on it. Also, there was an irregularly shaped strip of aluminum plate stuck to the "Power Supply Chip" on the circuit board. This was not a heat sink (no fins), but there was a conventional heat sink (referred to as a cooling fin) included with the hardware package. I returned the second unit for credit rather than replacement, as it is obvious this company's quality control is nonexistent.

I built a barn door style equatorial mount to photograph the 2024 eclipse. I used this to regulate the voltage from an 8 AA battery pack to a 12VDC 3RPM motor. I used a 20T pinion gear on the motor drive and a 54T drive gear to move the mount. By dropping the voltage down from 12v to 10.7v, I achieved 1RPM on my drive gear which was spot on. As the batteries depleted, this little guy kept my output quite steady. As a precaution, I mounted a 40mm fan on the back. I just spliced it in to the input side. As a suggestion for DROK, a header to plug a fan in on the PCB would have been a nice extra. I am very pleased with the way this product works.

I have only had this for a few hours, so I hope it lasts and I hope it’s reliable. But using it for just a few hours, it is simple and it works perfect! I want more! My application is very low current draw, just for low voltage solenoids but it definitely works. Thanks!

The buck-boost regulator works fine. The terminals they put on it are just awful. You need need the screw the wires quite tight, which in turn torsions the terminals. Moreover, the terminals get loose quickly. In addition, there are missing pages in the user manual they sent.

Functions as advertised. The pots to adjust the voltage and current are a little inconsistent but still functionable. Nice display size.

Solide Verarbeitung., aber leichte Schwankungen in der Spannung und Strom. Beim Nachmessen mit dem Multimeter gibt es kleine Unterschiede in der Anzeige des Bausteins zur Messung, Ist für mich nicht so gravierend, da ich damit nur einfache Versuchsaufbauten mit entsprechender Spannung und Stom erstelle. Im Dauerbetrieb habe ich ihn noch nicht getestet.
