Buy This Loo Today!!!
I am a fisher woman, who just purchased my first boat this year. I looked at the larger boats that had potties on board and plumbed. Upon doing a lot of research, I realized that numerous boaters had a smell issue with their potties and folks found them more trouble than anything. Well, I primarily fish at night and did not want to beach somewhere in the woods and risk fighting numerous bugs or slithering things that would likely be in the vicinity of my butt and lady parts. I am a Disabled Vet with knee issues; so hanging my tail and such over the edge of my boat was a no-go as well. I remembered reading reading about a guy who purchased his wife a large poncho so she could go on shore and take care of "business." Well as I said above, shoring at night was not an option for me. Long story short...I purchased 3 large ponchos for me and my family along with a Luggable Loo (bucket with a toilet seat). These ponchos I purchased were very large, long and roomy. I just put my arms on the inside; opened the top to my Loo, making sure my poncho was on the outside of the toilet seat top; I sit down and comfortably do whatever I need to do. I have sit on the smaller, lower porta-potties and they hurt my knees a lot and are awkward to get up from, especially on a boat. However, this setup is fantastic. I have some clumping kitty litter in the bucket and pretty much just smell the litter scent. Just get a small, but durable litter scooper and keep some plastic bags with you. Scoop out the "debris," put it in a bag and dispose of it in an appropriate place...not the woods or in the water. Tidbit...it is best to keep something plastic over the Loo to keep moisture from getting in. We originally did not and caught a wretched mess cleaning the super gooey-clumped litter out of the Loo. It is also best to clean it after each use to be on the safe side. You could also use the bio-enzyme liquid stuff; however, I found that to be very nasty and the liquid would cause a serious mess if the bucket is accidentally knocked over. Because my poncho is so big, I am also able to do hit the Loo around other boaters who have not idea what I am doing, unless they are watching me like a hawk. It simply looks like I am sitting down with a poncho on. There is plenty of room for wiping and situating clothing before I take off the poncho. I was recently in Tennessee fishing and bought one of these for me to use, primarily for shore bathroom use...daytime of course. I think hunters, boaters, fishermen, campers and other outdoorsmen or women will find these to be comfortable and very functional. I am an over 200lb chic (big-boned, but still as cute as a button) and the Luggable Loo holds my weight just fine. I feel totally secure and have not had problems at all using it!!! While there may be cheaper solutions out there, this Loo fits my needs absolutely fine and seems durable enough to last a very long time in all sorts of conditions. I highly recommend these Loos for not just women but for men, kids, the elderly and on land or sea!!!

Great backup
The product is well made and sturdy. It's simple design means there is very little that could break. The seat fits securely to the bucket and the lid snaps down. The lid seems secure enough that if you were transporting it around in a vehicle it should stay closed (though I'd probably throw a bungee cord on it just in case you hit a huge pothole). Also, if you already have a 5 gallon bucket available the company sells just the lid ( Reliance Products Luggable Loo Seat Cover ) which will save you a few dollars. I bought this as part of my home emergency preparedness kit. Maintaining basic sanitation is an important part of any preparedness plan. Natural disasters and deteriorating infrastructure can disrupt utilities for days or weeks. As part of being a self-reliant and responsible adult I would recommend having some type of plan to cover all the basic needs of your family in an emergency, including disposing of your personal sewage in a safe and sanitary manner. That one flush you will have in your toilet after you lose your water won't go very far. If you don't want to be hanging out in the bushes with the neighbors when the water main down the street breaks then I would highly recommend this product. You can either buy the plastic liners the company sells for this or just use trash bags (probably more economical and just as effective) and it will allow you to easily and safely dispose of your waste when needed. Putting something absorbent (like kitty litter) in it will let you use it multiple times before disposal and help keep the odor down. Another good thing about this product is that when you don't need it you can use it as a storage container. Keep some of your emergency supplies inside then when you need it you have everything right there to take care of your sanitary needs.

Solved my travel troubles
My mostly retired husband is a part time semi driver. He was recently dispatched to deliver a load to a state where our youngest daughter lives. I wanted to accompany him so badly so we could visit with her together, but since bladder problems force me to make trips to the loo (bathroom) in the middle of the night I knew it was out of the question. No way did I want to trudge across a truck stop parking lot in the middle of the night to use a public restroom! In trying to come up with a portable means which wouldn't take up much space (which is limited in a semi's cab), I ran across the Luggable Loo. I signed up for a trial Prime account so I could get it shipped in one day (free!), and received it in time to make our trip. It was the PERFECT solution! Rather than purchase their bags which are a bit pricey (about $2 per bag), I took along tall kitchen trash bags from home, and lined it with 2 bags. One might have been plenty, but I didn't want to take any chances. Per the suggestion from a reviewer of this product, I also put a few cups of kitty litter in it so there would be something to absorb the liquid. I carried along an old coffee can with extra litter in it for when we changed the bag. I say "we". Truthfully, it was "he". My sweet hubby took care of that for me. This was such a good solution for me. Though I didn't use it while the truck was moving, it did save me having to crawl down out of that cab and make my way to a public restroom. I just closed the curtain of the semi's cab, did my business, then popped the lid back in place. It has a good seal, and we noticed no odor whatsoever while traveling. The 'seat' is not the exact same seat as on your toilet at home. It's thinner, and not comfy enough to invite one to sit and read a spell, but it's plenty comfortable enough, and serves the purpose well. I'd recommend this to anyone, and if anything ever happens to mine, I'll quickly get another, I like it that well. Though it's only a 5 gallon bucket (plenty), the bucket sits taller than any 5 gallon buckets we have lying around in our garage, which makes it more comfortable to lower yourself or rise from it.

Simple, easy and cheap
This is pretty much the cheapest portable toilet you can find, and it does the job well enough. We only use it if we are VERY far from the bathroom while camping, and then only if my wife has to pee. I just find a tree if I have to pee at 3am, even when we are close to the bathroom. One thing to note is that even if you use it only for urine it will not smell very nice. We use a kitchen garbage bag and change it every day, as suggested by some other reviewers. We also keep it outside of our pop-up camper at all times. So far we have only brought it with us camping twice, and left it at home all the other times since we were close enough to the bathrooms. In the end I would definetely recommend this product, especially for the budget minded. It really is the cheapest one we could find, and serves it's purpose well enough. If you plan on keeping a portable toilet INSIDE your tent or camper, then you are apparently much more comfortable using the bathroom in front of others than we are, and have a much lower gag level than us, but more power to you. Seriously, though, for frequent use indoors most of the portable toilets that sell for $100 or more have features that eliminate much of the unpleasant odors, and would probably be worth the extra money in that type of situation.

Unparalleled Convenience, a Must-Have for any Serious Prepper!
As a seasoned prepper with over 15 years of experience in this field, I've learned a hard truth - preparing for the unexpected isn't just about stockpiling food, water, and survival gear. It's also about considering those everyday essentials that tend to be overlooked, like sanitation. Trust me when I say this, the Reliance Products Luggable Loo Portable 5 Gallon Toilet isn't just a purchase, it's an investment in convenience and hygiene when the usual comforts are stripped away. From the first day, the Luggable Loo has exceeded my expectations. The packaging was sturdy and it arrived in perfect condition. The setup was straightforward with no unnecessary bells and whistles. The simplicity of its design is its true strength - a seat, a lid, and a 5-gallon bucket. No complicated mechanics to worry about breaking down when you need it the most. Comfort is a major consideration with a product like this, and the Luggable Loo has it in spades. The seat is wide and stable, accommodating various sizes comfortably. The lid snaps securely on the bucket, eliminating any worries about spills or accidents, even in the most challenging terrains or situations. Despite its rugged durability, the Luggable Loo is surprisingly lightweight. It's easy to move around your campsite or shelter, and it's also compact enough for convenient storage. I've hauled it on various bug-out simulations, and its presence has never been a burden. An unsung hero of the Luggable Loo is its capability to use standard waste basket trash bags, making waste disposal a breeze. This takes the messiness and guesswork out of maintaining sanitary conditions in a survival situation. Lastly, one thing that's worth mentioning is the peace of mind this product provides. It's one less thing to worry about in a crisis situation. When you're out in the wild or hunkered down in a shelter, having a solution to basic human needs that is clean, easy, and convenient is simply priceless. In conclusion, the Reliance Products Luggable Loo Portable 5 Gallon Toilet is a no-brainer for anyone serious about prepping. It's robust, portable, comfortable, and, above all, designed with practicality in mind. A truly reliable companion for when times get tough, and an item I'll gladly vouch for.

Simple design & very sturdy
This is exactly what it looks like in the image, AND is actually high quality and won't give you any unpleasant surprises. To test the strength of the handles, we filled this bucket to within two inches of the brim with water and carried it through our house. The handles didn't bend one bit and are long enough to make carrying relatively easy/comfortable. The black toilet seat snaps onto the top like the lid of a bucket would and the seat cover fits well over the seat. The seat is easy to remove and replace on the bucket, which makes removal of waste easy. Once it is popped on, it stays very snug. It doesn't come off unless you intentionally pull it off. The handles are fashioned in a way that they fit around the seat, so you can carry it with everything assembled. We were willing to pay a lot more for a portable toilet, but all of the expensive ones with flushes and waste containers had at least a few reviews complaining about amount of water required and leaks. This thing could not possibly leak unless it was literally knocked over. It has held someone around 230 lbs so far, so we are content that it is sturdy. The height is perfect for adult and possibly child use. It is slightly lower than a home toilet, but still a comfortable height for an adult. After reading reviews for various waste bags, we decided to simply use doubled up garbage bags and use some of the portable toilet chemicals that gel liquids. From what we can tell, the only advantage to using portable toilet bags is that they already came with the chemicals, and now some aren't even coming with the chemicals anymore, so our garbage bag idea came from someone who said it works as well as buying the portable toilet bags. This is not only going camping with us, but will join us on a trip to a multi-night family reunion on large property with a home that only offers one toilet outside of the master bath. So, consider it for outdoor casual events too and either buy one of the pop up toilet/shower tents, or construct a simple PVC pipe structure to throw a tarp or shower curtain over for privacy. Between this and the Camp Shower, we have no need to go to pay-camp-sites anymore, even with more squeamish camping friends. UPDATE: Just came back from a 3 day camping trip and used this the entire time. It was incredibly handy. I went overkill and used a triple layer of trash bags inside of it, to prevent any leaks, and the lid still fit on very snug even with the three layers of trash bags. The black plastic gets warm in direct sun, almost hot, but not uncomfortably so. The lid accumulated moisture/dew overnight, but the seat itself was never wet, and even in below 40 degree temp, was never uncomfortably cold. At the end of the trip, we simply closed up the trash bags and left them in the closed bucket until we could get home. Very easy. On previous trips, I'd avoid drinking water to limit inconvenient trips out into the woods, but knowing I had this allowed me to drink all the extra water I needed at higher altitudes. I highly recommend the portable toilet chemicals that solidify/gel liquids. They help deodorize. We didn't smell a thing the entire time, even when packing up the refuse at the end of the trip.

Perfect Outdoor Toilet!
I LOVE this item - the Luggable Loo was a lifesaver (and comfy compared to others) when my husband and I were camping during a two-week difference in leases between living spaces. We also used it when our in-house bathroom was being worked on, and on regular family camp-outs over the last couple of years where it sees a LOT of use. Who wants to squat behind a tree when they can sit on something that really feels like a toilet seat?? I don't use whatever bags they recommend. The huge, heavy-duty black contractor trash bags are much less expensive and found in larger quantity at a lower price, and they're certainly more than capable of taking care of business, so to speak, even if a full, knotted closed bag sits in the sun all day at a campsite they're tough enough not to leak(with the Eco-Fresh Reliance 'digester/deodorizer' in it <-- which I also highly recommend). Tested time and time again - trust me, as a woman who's camped out since childhood, this is a comfy, awesome way to do it yet still stick with being in the full outdoors rather than cooped in an RV! I'm a big girl with a large behind, so I was genuinely worried about comfort - and more to the point, my ability to sit on such a thing without tipping/crushing/breaking something on it. My worries were pointless, it sits like any average toilet, and as long as you're not trying to lean back on the lid, for whatever reason, then you'll have a comfy way of being natural in nature without having to dig a latrine. PS - using rope and clothes pins along with spare 'singles' (flat sheets who lost their fitted mates due to wear and tear), I made my own little privacy tent outdoors - just have to make sure you're on level ground and close enough to trees or long stakes to rope on to.

Always ready --- and finally used! (Important details below)
This thing is a great novelty and might someday be useful. I lug it around (not really) with double trash bags filled with a couple of inches of kitty litter in the bottom. I got it ready for a primitive camping site I used a couple of months ago --- and never actually used it (went to Wal-Mart instead - is that TMI??). But it's nice to know the Luggable Loo is at-the-ready for any events that may occur in the future! UPDATE!!! I had occasion when camping (without my wife --- she will NOT have anything to do with my Loo) to use this wonderful technology. Anyway, turn off your web page now if you are easily persuaded to try new technology. Here are the details: it's always a good idea to camp near a Wal-mart supercenter if you can. I found these wonderful magic gel filled zip lock bag things in the camping section. They work PERFECTLY with the Loo! I kept the double bag kittly litter technology in place just in case; but put the zip loc gel filled miracle bags on top of that. Then, nature called. I used the Loo! I thought I might have to fight to stay balanced. No problemo! The second thing that I thought would be a problem but wasn't was the relative smallness of the opening in the seat. I'm used to elongated toilet seats and thought the round seat might cause problems. Again, no problemo! Then, cleanup was a breeze with those magic gel zip bags. That magic gel kept odors in the bag; AND the design is really cool. You capture it all very cleanly and neatly and zip loc it shut. Then the magic gel goes into high gear and turns the whole thing into a solid (no idea how it does it; it just DOES). After that --- there was NO smell. Those magic bags are the best! And they worked beautifully with the Loo. Awesome combination. My advice is SKIP TO THE LOO my friends --- it's a winner! My wife doesn't know what she's missing (even though she thinks she does).

Love my Luggable Loo!
I absolutely love my Luggable Loo! I had done a lot of research online about the best portable toilet for camping and this was usually in the top 3 of many lists. Its a 5 gallon bucket with a lid on it- I bought it for camping and it worked out really well! I would use a large black garbage bag, then 2 smaller glad bags with febreeze in the bucket- then I would use some kitty litter to cover up everytime I would go. Im not a small person and I found it to be very sturdy! The lid clicks shut, which is nice, because it kept the any smells from escaping. I would empty the garbage bags 2 times a day and that seemed to work well. The lid is not sturdy enough to lean back against it but I was completely fine with that. I would definitely recommend this product!

best camping purchase you will ever make!
this little luggable loo will transform your camping experience! no more trudging across the campsite at night in yer nightie for a wee! or worse still, doing a jimmy riddle behind your tent! seriously, this is ace! it's taller than a normal bucket, which makes it easier to sit on, and the seat is perfectly comfortable. it's also a bit tougher and more robust than a normal bucket, so u won't worry about breaking it! we don't bother with expensive loo products (like bags and chemicals etc) for this, we just rinse it every morning to keep it fresh, and at the end of our trip, we give it a proper wash when we get home. i'm so glad we bought this. it's brilliant for camping, and makes the whole experience so much better. who would have thought that a portable toilet would make such a massive difference!
