“Great quality moss that keeps my plants thriving”
I was really impressed with how clean and fluffy this sphagnum moss is. It holds moisture beautifully without getting soggy, and my orchids and cuttings root so much faster in it. The fibers are long, easy to work with, and expand a lot once hydrated. Definitely a reliable, high‑quality moss that makes plant care easier. Other similar products that I've used have been crumbly and falls apart in the pot making a mess around it.

Great quality moss
This brick is the best bang for your buck! The quality of the most is fantastic. It holds moisture and nutrients very well. I love that I can use it in my moss poles and my propagations. It separates fairly easy if you only need a small amount. I usually use a knife to separate chunks of the dried moss. It absorbs and expands quickly. This big brick will definitely last you a long time!

Good enough is ok for my applications
For the amount you ge is a great deal. Fantastic for filling moss poles and the like without breaking the bank. However, that said it is not super high quality. Mine came with a fair amount of debris (random lil plants started popping up in my moss poles from the moss I got in May of 2025) and it had a noticeably different smell when it was rehydrating than other moss. It was also much more "broken" than other moss I have used but, for the price this is not entirely unexpected. Would I buy again, yes. Is it super high quality, no. But, if you don't need the best of the best, good enough is probably fine. As always, YMMV

Love it
Good for what I need it for great amount of moss for the price, fast expansion rate, the only thing I didn’t I’d say not to do is I got the whole thing wet and just left it in its tub and it got moldy if I ever get this again I’ll break off what I need and do it that way.

Praise, but uncertainties
The reason I haven't given this product five stars is because I still have a few questions and concerns about the product. Many other reviewers mentioned the surprising expansion when this moss is hydrated. It's truly remarkable, and I couldn't believe this little block of compressed moss filled a huge plastic tub when hydrated. I have attached before and after pictures. My concerns are also questions. I have a long history of using very high quality long fiber New Zealand sphagnum moss for remounting and potting species orchids. This moss is virtually unavailable now, or if one can find it, the cost is prohibitive for the amount I need. Therefore, I have been trying different kinds of moss from different sources. The Legigo moss has long fibers and is very clean, free of debris. However, once hydrated, the color turns an odd grey green and has a very strong chemical smell - not the usual organic, earthy smell I am used to from this type of sphagnum. I attached a picture of this moss, taken side by side with some old moss that I removed from a pot where it had been for 3 years. The 3-year old New Zealand sphagnum that I'm discarding looks MUCH better than the new Legigo. When adding to a pot, the Legigo also has a strange consistency. It feels like I am packing mud into the pot, almost sticky feeling. (It's not actually sticky) In summary, all the orchids that I have potted or mounted so far look fine. No immediate problems that I could relate to any moss, but I am curious if anyone else has found this moss a bit unusual - color, smell and consistency? Does anyone know where this moss grows? It looks as if it's shipped from China, but I am wondering where it's grown - in Chile, New Zealand, where?

Convenient compressed moss, easy to use
This comes packed as a compressed brick, so just keep that in mind when you first open it. You can either soak the whole thing to let it expand and then let it dry out before storing what you don’t use, or just break off pieces as needed. I’ve done both depending on how much I need at the time. There are a few small sticks and bits of plant material mixed in, but that’s pretty normal for sphagnum moss and not a big deal for me. Overall, this works well and does what I expect it to. For the price, I think it’s a really good value, and I’ll continue to order it when I need to restock.

The spahagnum moss has been as described, good quality. It has come in a compressed form, quickly expands in warm water. I have used it on the top of the bark substrate to promote moisture for the air roots.
