I bought this 8 years ago and am finally writing a review because I felt compelled to after it came in the clutch for me yet again. This thing is awesome. If you drive old cars, or maybe have a 2nd or 3rd car that you don't take out for a spin as much as you ought to, or if you just want the peace of mind that you won't get stranded somewhere in the cold, you need this. It says to wait for it to be 30% charged before using, but I just jumped my car today at 20% charged. Saved me a huge headache as I needed to get it off the street in a timely fashion. It's super easy to use, can charge other devices, has a flashlight. It will drain over time if you don't charge it, so be sure to do so every so often.

I bought one of these for every member of my family. I had mine for about 4 months before I actually needed it and it worked...but not as well as they would like you to believe. However, when you need to jump start a car when there isn't anyone else around, this thing can save you a ton of hassle, time, and money to have a service come jump start your car. I pull this thing out and charge it in the car from the cigarette light every month or two. It loses about 10% charge per month. I haven't exhaustively tested it but I have used it to charge my phone and jump start my car, which are the two main reasons I bought it. It comes in a nice pill-shaped hard case which happens to fit perfectly under the seat of my Focus. It has a 12 volt charge cable, a 120 volt wall charger, USB to Micro USB cord, and a separate charge cord with a round end for laptops, along with adapters to make that round end larger to fit a variety of laptops. No eight pin charging cord though so if you have an Ipad, you will need another cord or an adapter. The one time I jump started the car, it worked just fine. The battery is encased nicely in rigid foam so I never worry about it rattling around in the car or being dropped causing any damage. And it comes with more accessory cords than any other I've seen on the market. NOTE: to jump start s car, plug the jumper cable cord into the jump starter, attach the alligator clips to the car battery, push the power switch to On, and you will see the light on the side blink from green to red AND THEN you have to press the button on the side of the plug where it goes into the jumper. Once you press the button you have 30 seconds to start the car. It's a safety feature. Here are the issue I had. 1. Flashlight didn't work. You push the power button once for the flashlight. Click it twice for the red flashers. The flashers work but the flashlight didn't. Everything should have worked right out of the box but I have other flashlights so I didn't return it. 2. The alligator clips for the jumping are small and I understand that for the size of the unit to keep it small. It was just a bit of a struggle to get them on the terminals. 3. Let's look at the listing above. "Jump start your vehicle...up to 30 times". Nope. Jumped 1 car 1 time and the power dropped from 100% to 15%. Tried to jump it later and it didn't do a thing. To be fair, my terminals had corroded and the battery was mostly dead. I cleaned the terminals and jumped the car so it probably took a fair amount of power to get the job done, but still "up to 30 times" is expecting a lot. That would be 0.6 amps per jump. My car batter is 590 amps. 32 times more powerful than the jumper so 0.6 amps would make almost no difference. 4. 12 volt charging cord worked fine for a few months then at some point the metal end fell out of the cigarette lighter part. Made it useless and it's specific for this battery so I can't just buy another one. I'm going to have to cut the end off and put a new lighter adapter on. 5. Everything will fit in the case and the cords are all supposed to fit behind the mesh net on one side, but they tend to fall out every time I open the box. Would be nice it that worked a little better. Just be careful and open it up inside the car so if things fall out, you'll be able to find them again. Other than those minor issues, I'm pretty happy with this thing. It did exactly what it was supposed to, which was to jump start my car when there was nobody around to help me. I had a different model before this one and that jumper had battery issues. This one is twice as powerful and got better reviews so I bought it. I expect to have it for several years at least before I need to replace it. Maybe by then you'll be able to just buy the battery so you don't have to throw out more cords.

Works great. Looks awesome and well worth the money. Works great used it for a friend right away. Only downside would be it might drain quick

I have used Amazon for years and this is my first product review, that's how strongly I feel about this product. Originally I had purchased a product from Powerall because my cousins has one and really likes it but after a single use the cables malfunctioned and the unit would no longer charge. On the other hand DB Power jumper came 95% charged out of the box and yesterday (July 17, 2017) was the first day I had to charge it after purchasing it Jan 2, 2017. I have used this little device countless times on my car, my wife's suv, my Yamaha Rhino UTV, atvs, my boat, as well as numerous times to help complete strangers in a parking lot that needed a jump. As a matter of fact I went to help a person a couple of days ago and when I got out my DB Power jumper it said it was only 1% charged so I thought there was no way it would work and I'd probably look silly bringing out this small device to start a car (people often look at you like you're crazy that such a small device can jump a car) but the DB Power jumper started that car without so much as a hiccup I couldn't believe it. 1% charge and it still jumped it. Amazing!! The DB Power is about the size of a large cell phone (ex: iPhone 6 plus) and has a good solid weight to it, it definitely does not feel cheaply made. The clamps are small but feel strong. After witnessing first hand how awesome this jumper performs I have since bought one for my wife to keep in her car. I bought one for each of my parents and my dad called me up the other day raving about it saying that he's uses it to start his truck, his tractor, and uses it a lot on his trips to charge his phone when another charger isn't readily available. I bought it for him on father's day and his still reads 90% charged. If you are in the market for a car jumper you absolutely cannot go wrong with this little piece of magic. And even if you don't need one or on the fence, for the price you can't beat just keeping one in your car for peace of mind knowing that it has your back in the case of your battery dying unexpectedly. Like I said before, I have purchased this product multiple times now and every single one has performed brilliantly. I can't attest for the quality of DB Power customer service because I have not had a single thing wrong with any of them and have never had a need to contact customer service. Must admit, after reading about various portable battery car jump products I was more than a little skeptical but chose DBPOWER 800A 18000mAh unit after a good bit of research. I purchased it to address a specific need for one of my cars which is rarely driven and I got tired of pulling the batter out or pushing the car out of the garage to jump. Unit arrived neatly packaged and in a very nice case with included adapters & connectors which I wasn't specifically purchasing it for but was good to have. The build quality of every piece was excellent and solid. The batter pack itself was a lot smaller than expected. I read the instructions and plug the input power adapter into the unit which was already 76% charged and it slooowly began charging. At some point it fully charged to 100% and the next day I was ready to see what it would do. The car was a 2002 Honda Accord 4 Cylinder with a dead battery which hadn't been crunk in about a month. I disconnected jump battery unit from input power adapter and connected jumper cable assembly into the port (Green led began flashing, indicating it was ready to connect to car batter terminals/posts.) Cables are very short but no problem finding location to place jump battery. Once the jump cables were connected to the car's battery the Green LED along with a Red one on the jumper cable connector became solid and started clicking every 5 seconds (Indicating that jump power is being supplied from the jump battery for 30 seconds before auto disconnect (a great safety & device protection feature). The first 2 attempts to start the car was unsuccessful but progressively encouraging. Before attempting a 3rd, I let the jumper deliver it's 30 seconds of power, then I disconnected (reset) the positive clap and reconnected and then started the car. I was indeed impressed. The unit still registered 100% power on the display after the jump so I decided to try out the notebook/device recharging feature. I have an HP EliteBook 850 in the office which hadn't been turned on in months and battery was completely dead/exhausted. Turned on the jump battery and chose/connected the appropriate input adapter for the notebook and selected 19v output. The notebook came on and booted showing charging from 0%. About an hour and a half the jump battery's display was flashing 5% remaining. I turned it off and the notebook battery was showing 72% charge remaining. Again I was impressed, particularly since I set the notebook not to sleep and the screen remained on a significant amount of time.

On Christmas Day when I went to go start my car, it wasn’t starting. I had my neighbor jump my car since I didn’t have a battery to do it myself. I knew I really needed one fast so I dint have to depend on anyone else coming to save me, so I went out on a whim & picked this one. It hasn’t done me wrong since I’ve started using it. It’s so small in its carrying case & it’s not bulky like the other ones. I must have jump started my car at least 20 times at this point.
