Versatile! Comfortable! Well Made!
I have been searching for a product like this for over ten years. I travel every week for work and my pelican cases are crucial to my work. The ability to convert to a backpack is incredibly useful for trips where I know I will not have the luxury of flat surfaces and elevators. I also see a great application for turning a pelican case into a very rugged backpack for camping. After I received the RucPac I went over it closely examine stitching and hardware and found it to be well made. Attaching it to a model 1510 pelican was quite easy. The large included velcro sheets were easy to cut into pieces to cover all of the flat faces of the case where it would mate with the backpack. Take advantage of the instructional videos offered by the company, it will make attaching the system easier. The only note/feedback I'd offer would be for the adjustment buckles to be made of metal rather than plastic and I expect to look for aftermarket replacements as my personal use case finds me in extremely hostile terrain and temperatures that don't play well with plastic. I'd also like to give a shout out to the founder of the company who has been very nice to trade emails with when I used the RucPacx website contact information to ask some questions.

Comfortable and convenient carrying system
I found the rucpac while searching for pelican and Nanuk cases from YouTube, and felt that it was different from other cross design carrying systems and was more suitable for my needs. The strap of rucpac pro is very thick, and you will not feel a lot of pressure on your shoulders. The waist strap bears most of the weight. At the same time, rucpac pro does not affect the opening of the box, which is very important. In urgent tasks, You won't waste time by "undoing the straps", and you won't be in a hurry. The self adhesive Velcro strips would have worried me a bit, however, it's almost the same area as the back of the pelican 1510, nanuk 935, and the adhesive is very strong, plus the two top webbing straps on the top of the hardcase, cleared my doubts. rucpac pro is a very good carrying system, I personally like it very much.

Fantastic for touring work!
Once I used it I couldnโt go back! I have used this case accessory to carry all of my gear to more than 12 countries in the last 3 weeks! Amazing Purchase! Background: I use this product to travel for work both in and outside the US. I have around 40lbs / 18kg worth of video production gear in this case and yet it still feels very comfortable to have in my back. This is an amazing solution for carrying gear as opposed to dragging your hard case through the sand / dirt. I purchased the โProโ version as I believe that you need extra back padding when using as much gear as I do. The wheels also still work very well while this is equipped to the case! I also want to note that I have this attached to a โNanuk 935โ and not a traditional flat backed pelican. So I wasnโt able to apply both sets of the included Velcro (Only about half). Yet, I have not seen any signs of the Velcro not supporting the case and it has never detached, even though that is truly the only thing holding it to the case aside from the top straps!

Great idea, Great quality, great product
At first I was skeptical that this would hold my case of fragile electronics. I cut the Velcro to size and tried a couple different weights to make sureโฆworked like a champ! Iโm guessing my equipment is about 20-30 lbs with case. Carried this across a couple airports and it made my life way easier than rolling three different cases! Also packs down and was able to use as carry on. Quality stitching from what I can tell, good materials, sturdy, pretty comfortable. My only change to it would be add clips to the straps on top for easy quick releaseโฆ..I donโt trust just the Velcro.

The only product that tackle all my needs for outdoor painting
Been going outdoor to do plein air painting, carrying a wooden french easel around for 2 years. I am always searching for ways to make my trip easier to carry and faster to deploy the tools. The easel is a big wooden box with tripod legs, great to put all the tools inside but it only comes with a side strap which I got backpain every time went for a longer trip. The RucPac Pro listed for use on hardcase like Pelican, but I gave it a go on my wooden box. And it works like a charm. I could open the easel with the shoulder strap still attached, and the attachments are sturdy enough for the weight. It only adds minimal weight to my package, but supports my back to go trek for hours more. And I still got to detach the straps if i feels like it, which is great. Overall it is a well-thought out product and I think you hardly find other trek carrier that do what it does

Velcro strips (Included) on the back will provide more support and stability.
This is a great product! Iโm currently using it with a small carry-on bag and it works perfectly.

Game changer for pelican case fans
Iโm usually pretty hesitant to write reviews for products after owning them for only a relatively short period of time, but this RucPak Pro has been a game changer for me. Iโve been using it for a couple months now, and having ability to turn my Pelican 1535 air, which usually can only be rolled around, into a fully functional backpack makes everything about carrying around a pelican case that much easier. I work on film sets, and I often have to lug around a lot of pelican cases at onceโฆor make several trips. But having one of them on your back allows for a more streamlined workflow when on the move. Plus, the size of the cushioning on this pro version, which covers the entire length of a 1535 air case, from top to bottom, makes it surprisingly comfortable. I was a little nervous about the rock-hard edges of the pelican case somehow getting in the way and making it uncomfortable, but I have never had a single issue. From my understanding, the first generation RucPac straps were uncomfortable because the case just rubbed against your back with no protectionโฆ.but if that was the case, it has been fixed with this new pro version. The shoulder straps are also pretty thick, and wide, so it makes it more comfortable than you would think. I think most people buy pelican cases for a reasonโฆ Because you want to protect your gear, even from the elements. In the past, having that protection has come at a cost of functionality and portability. However, the RucPac pro really helps to bridge that gap, and makes your pelican a great traveling case, even in remote locations. The only negative I would say about this case is that it relies on thick velcro strips to prevent the case from swinging. Sometimes, when bending over or twisting, you can hear some of the Velcro start to pull away, almost like the case may swing off. I realize that the options for securing the case to the back pad are limited (I think early models allowed for you to put a strap around the wheels at the bottom of the caseโฆbut that would be a nightmare for when you want to quickly disconnect). Keep in mind, the case is always securely locked into the RucPac at the top of the case, as a set of straps loops around the top handleโฆ.but the rest of the case remains in position by the Velcro, and that makes it feel a little uneasy at times. Iโve never once actually had the case swing off the padding, but itโs has felt like it came close once or twice. Lastly, Iโd also say the the price for what you are getting is perhaps a little steep, and should come down a bit. Instead of $150, this would be better suited for a price tag of $85-$100, max. I have a second Pelican 1535 air case that I would love to equip with a RucPac, but I canโt justify spending another $150 for an already expensive pelican case. Overall, itโs a great purchase. I highly recommend it!

Now I can walk around practically anywhere.
When I invested in the the pelican 1500 for my photography gear, I didnโt put into consideration walking around with just one handle grip. For some of my photo shoots, I would hike different locations, where a wagon would not work. Holding the pelican by the handle, after a while was a burden. Iโve been eyeing this backpack system for a long time, but wasnโt sure it would work on my case. I sent the seller a message which she responded right away. Give me confidence that their backpack system will work perfectly for my needs. When I received the product I was able to use at a university campus which was huge! Thanks to the backpack I was able to walk the whole campus and take photos everywhere , the graduate requested with no issues. I highly recommend anyone needing to transport their pelican cases, to transition it to a backpack. Iโm also confident the seller will advise if it will work for you and your case.

Parfait
Bonne conception, comfortable, pratique. Je suggรจre de couper toute ce qui dรฉpasse derriรจre le hardcase pour que velcro sois bien a plat et de laver aprรจs avec un dรฉgraisseur puissant comme du xylรจne avant de coller le velcro. J'adore

Great Product - Musthave
Normally I donโt write reviews, but for a product that is so thought through and has so few reviews, I like to do that. Mainly I need my equipment in caves and steep cliff faces. There I need the best protection, recently I used backpacks and bags to carry my stuff around, which is not on the top of protection level. A similar system from a competitor (which by the way cannot be open while attached) was not suitable for me, this is basically the only system that fits to all my cases and my back, which is another point. The foam is comfy and let me carry my cases around like a backpack. The RucPac Pro is perfect for me, only the fact that in certain movements the velcro can make some sound of pulling apart. Just after testing the system I can say its not a problem. Hanging upside down on a rope or crawling through tight holes with the case on the back is not a problem. It stays in place. Iโm really pleased with the quality and the sturdiness of the straps. It makes a huge difference being able to open the case while still attached. In short it is the best solution so far for taking your cases on a journey.

To avoid sketchy situations with my photography gear.
I have a nanuk 935 with wheels, sand and stairs is my problem, I have to carry it like a suitcase, so only one hand free to support myself. The RUC PAC hard case backpack conversion solves this problem. Easy velcro and two short slings connect to the nanuk, like a padded backpack, now I have both hands free.

Good product
It's a good product. It works perfectly with a hard case. Beyond that, it's very adaptable as an external frame for other backpacks. Good material and design.

Best solution for carrying fragile kit!
I frequently travel to countries in Europe and Africa, often to austere locations, carrying fragile electronic equipment and a week's worth of my own sustainment kit. This cargo weighs about 35kg. Ordinary luggage and even military deployment bags have proven too easily damaged and insufficient to secure this gear. The solution is a rolling hard case, but as I go where there are no sidewalks I often need to carry it instead of using its wheels. The RucPac Pro has been serving me well. Easy to attach, comfortable to carry, well constructed, and intelligently designed (see the small pocket on the waist belt for your hardcase keys!). Really an outstanding value for money. The company couldn't be more helpful, even contacting me directly after purchase to ensure they were available for my questions. There's nothing else like this for hardcases on the market. Not everyone needs one of these, but if you carry fragile kit in a hardcase under challenging conditions, there's really no substitute. I wish I'd had one of these when I was in the Army. It would have made deployments a lot easier!
