Might be the only book you need
We've been on our farm for over a decade, and we've bought a lot of how-to books and what have you, and as we sat thumbing through the book last night, we decided that this might be the only book you need for just about everything you want or need to build for your adventures in homesteading. Very rarely do you get a book that is as comprehensive as this one is. Some have a few OK ideas, some have a few good plans but no follow through, and then there are books like this one. I feel like this one will actually free up some space on the bookshelf because it sure can replace a lot of our less than stellar how-to books. I highly recommend this one even if you've been at it a while like we have. Old dogs can always learn new tricks.

Has excellent diagrams and illustrations. I've built a raised vegetable garden and used some of the advice in this book already. Looking forward to building a tool shed in the next year.

No me ha convencido
Estamos hablando de un libro con mas de 1.5K opiniones y muchas buenas. De la editoral Creative Homeowner (tendré en torno a 15 libros de la misma). Después de un tiempo en la lista de deseos me decidí a comprarlo. Mi opinión personal es que es un libro de proyectos sencillos que no está mal pero no es nada de otro mundo. Para los que saben poco de madera o apenas tienen literatura sobre trabajos en madera, no es una mala elección. Pero siendo sincero, creo que los proyectos que se describen aquí son básicos. Teniendolo sé que no necesitaba comprarlo, ahora queda en mi librería, pero apenas lo voy a consultar.

Great book!
I bought this book as a gift for my friends that recently bought a property and want to build their own homestead. It's loaded with great step by step projects and detailed photos. I believe it's going to be a great help to them. The only minus is the apparent carelessness of Amazon workers that are packing these packages. The book is a paperback and I received mine with back cover slightly torn close to spine on both top and and bottom. The front cover was lightly bent as well. As a person that cares for my books, I find this unacceptable. I did fix it with a bit of a clear tape, but I shouldn't need to do this to a brand new item. If I wasn't gifting this and had more time, I would have returned it and ordered a new one. I still think it shouldn't affect the rating of this great book, and it rightfully deserves 5 stars!
