Great for summer time activities

Awesome, full of work for the student they may be falling behind.

My 8-year-old loves this Gold Stars Second Grade BIG Workbook! It's engaging and covers a broad range of subjects, including English and Math. The colorful illustrations and fun activities keep my child interested and motivated to learn. It’s an excellent tool for reinforcing and expanding on what they’re learning in school. Highly recommended for a fun and educational experience!

Good book BUT the pages keep falling off so easily

Good for reinforce at home

My 1st grader enjoys workbooks but gets bored if he ends up seeing the same types of activities over and over again, like the same types of questions for “ch” words and “sh” words — this book seems to have unique activities on each page. The instructions are never too complicated to understand, yet somehow it’s engaging enough. And this workbook presents things in more of a learning way than a testing way, which seems to be true of most workbooks… but we recently bought a disappointing one that was basically just quizzes, so it’s worth mentioning that this doesn’t have that issue. The section naming in the table of contents is weird because it has “English” separate from “Reading” and “Addition” separate from “Math”, etc., but fortunately most kids don’t care about section names — we just treat the workbook as one big English section followed by one big Math section, so he mostly goes in order through each of those halves of the book.
