Wipe Clean: Learning Sight Words

This has been super helpful for my kindergartener!

Fun learning! Easy to wipe clean. We’ve been using for 2 weeks now and it’s easy clean mess free fun and it’s easy enough to wipe off (see video) that a dry napkin with no elbow grease needed gets it off easily! My girl is 5 and in kindergarten. We love this!

I LOVE this book! I was able to teach my nephew many of these sight words in the summer before he started kindergarten! I also used it to tutor a struggling 1st grade reader in the summer and he improved rapidly in writing, spelling, and reading these words. I'll be using it as an intervention in my classroom as well. The colors are vivid and appealing for children and the words are easy to trace and write in the book. The repetitive prompts allows for lots of writing and reading practice. It was also easy to wipe and clean, and the durability makes it last long if you make sure to take care of it.

Wonderful for kids going to school

Book came with a dry erase marker but it was dried out. Otherwise, seems like a good product for practicing sight words.

My 4-year-old is just learning to write. This is a bit advanced for her, as she is still working on learning to write letters, let alone read! But she loves practicing tracing the letters and I figure the more she sees these words, even if she doesn't understand them yet, it'll only help. It's also funny but she loves cleaning the pages! The included marker wipes off easily with a damp paper towel and she loves doing that and then drying the page with a dry one. I wish the marker were attached to the book somehow because I'm sure we'll lose it eventually, but probably any dry erase marker would work. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Really helped my daughter with school.

These wipe clean books are wonderful. Our granddaughter spends hours between the little pass and the book wiping it clean and doing them over again. Keeps her very busy but also teaches her. The description is spot on and the books are made very well. Very good price point.

Great wipe-clean book that actually grows with your child. Big Print I got this for my son when he was three (he’s now five). I really liked that the print is big — a lot of wipe-clean books have tiny tracing words, and for kids just starting out it gets frustrating because their hands cover the whole thing and they end up wiping it with their palm. The bigger text in this book makes it so much easier. How My Son Used It This book really grew with him. When he was younger he only traced the big words. Now that he’s older he can do the quizzes and trace the smaller words too. Each page has the sight word in four different sizes, plus a little example at the bottom. He can read now, and I do think this helped with his learning. Pens / Usability When he was three I didn’t use the pen that came with the book. I was worried it might be too permanent and stain his hands, so I bought washable whiteboard markers instead. Now that he’s older, it doesn’t matter as much. Spiral Binding The only con is the spiral binding. It started to come loose not long after we began using it, so I just keep an eye on it or adjust it when needed. Overall A really helpful wipe-clean book with big, kid-friendly text that grows with them. I’m very happy with it, and I can use it again for my younger son when he’s older. Also just a note: it uses US spelling (e.g., Mom instead of Mum). I just ignore that page for him or mentioned that in Australia we spell it with u.

This is great material for toddlers and preschoolers to learn.

This book is fantastic! Wipe clean, comes with a marker and also comes with flash cards at the back of the book of the words from the book. Lots of pages to do and a variety of difficulty in sight words. I bought this for my 4 year old daughter who is in JK. She is starting to know of how sound out works and spell these sight words even after only a few hours!

Grandson loves his books and is learning quickly. Easy to wipe clean.
