Spro Bucktail Jig-Pack of 1

Great bucktail for mahi/blackfin trolling and bait casting. Good colors. I purchased 2 ounce, however 1ounce might be better for pitching.

Great quality lure, sharp hook!

I have a love/hate relationship with bucktails. For every one I lose, I catch a decent fish. So, I keep buying them. But spending 7-8 bux for every one at my lbs was getting old so I turned to Amazon for more affordable alternatives, and found the Spro brand. Bought a few and here's what I think:Great detail and finish on the head. Surprised at the quality of the paint job, although it's starting to chip on the nose after 50 casts in sandy surf.Great hook. The thing is legit, as expected for Gamakatsu.Crappy skirt! After one surf session I've already lost half of the hairs on the 1 oz chartreuse version. My old Wahoos are still as fluffy as the day I bought them. Not sure why the Spros can't keep up.Was going to give these 3 stars, but 10 minutes into my first try with my first ever Spro I caught a 22" striper. Absolutely perfect hookset and easy removal for a clean release. 4 stars it is! Like I said, love/hate relationship:) I'll throw on a grub trailer to make up for the balding Spro as long as it nabs keepers.

No mater where you are fishing, this lure will get strikes if there are fish present. I live on the west coast of Florida and this lure will prevent you from getting skunked. I’ve caught snook, tarpon, trout, redfish, mangrove snapper, grouper, flounder, jacks, and Spanish mackerel on this lure. If the fish are there something will hit this lure. This is the best saltwater lure of all time. Especially great for early morning beach snook.

Like the motion it gives soft baits when tossing in the surf for stripers and even halibut. Nice jig, and I love that 2oz bucktail jig to give me a little extra casting distance when fishing the surf.

I bought this to go fluke fishing with and they worked incredibly. I threw a strip of squid on the hook, and got 3 fluke on my first drift. Spro makes a really good bucktail, I use to buy the cheaper ones, but after having countless inferior jigs either bend or fall apart I am now going to only buy Spro from now on. Furthermore the large selection offered from Spro allows me to stock up on countless different color and size options.
