Great OEM replacement!
Truck cranked right up after install. THANK YOU! Everything was plug and play. No harness splicing since it was a Delphi replacement. Last Delphi pump lasted over 200,000 miles.

Great Pump at a Great Amazon Price
Check valve stopped working on the old pump so it would take to three attempts to start my 2001 Chevy Silverado. This fuel pump is with a new style plug so some wires needed to be cut. No big deal, everything included in the package. There was one other difference. There was no screen that I could find. I consider that to be a good improvement because that is what the fuel filter is for. We removed the bed because we found that was a lot easier. Four neighbors lifted up and moved it back about 3 feet, set the front of the bed on the rear tires while two guys by the tail gate held on. Swapped out the pump and moved the bed back into position. I bought the beer and we were done. No problems with this pump. You can't go wrong with a Delphi!

Very loud buzzing
Product works. Very very loud buzzing. This can’t be normal.

The only thing wrong is it didn’t include new fuel line clips. I used the original ones. If you remove them carefully they work fine. There are three ways to get to the fuel pump. 1. Drop the tank. Everyting you need to disconnect is on top of the tank. Good luck doing that when you can’t see any of it. 2. Remove the bed. I did that the last time I replaced the pump. I used a cheap pump too. Never again. That too is a tremendous pain in the butt. 3. Cut an access hatch in the bed. This is what the factory should have done. This is by far the easiest method. The hardest part was removing the bed liner. I have a very tight fitting Loadlock bedliner that snaps under the bed rails and is difficult to remove. The opening I cut was a little too large but that’s better than too small. To replace the section I riveted tabs to it and used nutcerts to screw it down. See pictures. I would cut it in front of the bed support if I did it again. All in all I’m very happy with the end result. I used a 4 1/2 angle grinder to make the cut. A jig saw would work too if you shorten the blade so it didn’t extend down too far. The tank is down about 2 inches. Update: The pump works well. The only issue is fuel gauge accuracy. It reads much higher than the actual fuel level. When the gauge read 1/2 full the actual fuel level is about a quarter tank.
