I Wasn't a Sauce Person until I met Bull-Dog Tonkatsu Sauce
Bull-Dog Vegetable + Fruit Tonkatsu Sauce is a pantry must, in my book. Tangy, rich, and insanely versatile for a buffet of dishes: case and point: Tonkatsu is a Japanese dish of breaded deep fried pork cutlet and yet my husband and I are pesco-vegetarian and don't eat meat aside from fish. Yet this 'deep fried pork' sauce hits the mark for us for fried tofu, broiled salmon, Morning Star vegetarian "chicken" nuggets (my favorite use for this sauce) and just as a simple dipping sauce for french fries and root vegetables such as carrots. I also love to add this sauce to homemade gravy, soups and stews, and chili. See? Versatile little bottle! Details on the Product: Size: 10.1 fl.oz (300ml) Serving Size: 1 Tbsp (contains 20 servings) Nutrition Per Serving: Calories: 25 Total Fat: 0g Sodium: 360 mg (15% Daily Value) Total Carb. 6g (2% DV) Sugars: 4g Protein: 0g Ingredients: Water, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Distilled Vinegar (made from alcohol), Tomato paste, salt, modified rice starch, apple puree, yeast extract, spices prune paste, carrots onions and lemon juice. CONTAINS: Soy + High Fructose Corn Syrup PERK: Does not contain wheat according to the ingredient label, nor do I or my husband (who are both gluten sensitive) have any bad reactions when consuming this product. Taste: If you were to dilute A1 sauce with worcestershire, ketchup, sugar and lemon juice, you'd get a similar taste to this Bull-Dog tonkatsu sauce. If you aren't a fan of tangy, this might not be for you. Shipping: I ordered this March 23 2014 and it arrived March 25 2014, securely packaged and without any damage. I was very pleased. Expiration: It is always a risk, it seems, buying food on amazon hoping the expiration date isn't past or a week away- but I was happy to see the expiration date was November 2015. Trust me, it won't last two months in this home. We're crazy for it! I hope this was helpful. If you're on the fence on buying this product, I say go for it. It isn't for everyone. Whereas I loved it at hello, it took a few meals until my husband was a big fan (he particularly enjoys it as a marinade for white fish and salmon, I imagine it works great for chicken and steak in the same manner). Don't think of this as just a sauce replacement for A1, ketchup or BBQ. It stands on it's own, and makes a great addition to add some variety to your weekly meals. Enjoy!

This is a staple for Tonkatsu lovers
You just cannot have chicken katsu or tonkatsu (pork) without this sauce, some white rice and a side of thinly julienned cabbage. Whatās nice about it is it will last forever. The high fructose corn syrup is the second ingredient in the list (not the first). And, most importantly, it tastes so good. As the honorable say when they enjoy a good meal, āIt tasteās like home.ā Wherever home may be, this sauce will transport you there. Actually, let me clarify. It will likely only trigger nostalgic feelings among the people of Japan and the Japanese diaspora. Every country has that one food thing, right? Like Italy has pasta, France has croissants, and Ethiopia has injera. But wait, I guess for Japan, that one food would be sushi. Not this delicious sauce. Yeah, that makes more sense. Anyway, this is a delicious sauce and you should try it.

The best tonkatsu sauce you can buy
Probably as close to homemade tonkatsu sauce you can get. Flavors were all the and has that tangy taste to it that other store bought sauces lack. Other sauces tend to taste more like bbq sauce, but this is pure tonkatsu sauce.
