I was skeptical and considered canceling or returning. Other reviews seem to indicate that these are hit or miss on the quality. I think I got a decent set. I checked them as best as I could with what equipment I have. Alignment, tube diameter, squareness, etc seemed ok so I proceeded with mounting. They sit tight and solid. Going to the range in the next few dates to sight in and verify hold on 30-06 recoil. All in all not a bad set of rings for under $20. Yes they are made in China (as is a lot of stuff on the market). Monstrum seems to be filling a hole in higher scope mount options for 1 inch tubes. These sit high and fit just right.

A budget scope rings that work

I've bought a few sets of Monstrum rings, and they have all been top-notch. Every style I have purchased has been well-designed and well-machined. They fit well. They are an exceptional value. I do have a gripe with these particular rings, though. These rings come packaged in a clear plastic bag, shoved into a little box. There's nothing inherently wrong with that. The problem is that there is nothing separating the two rings in the package. Therefore, the rings rub together in shipping - and the result is that the finish is rubbed off of the rings on the sides that touch. Monstrum should consider slipping a little piece of foam or plastic between the two - just something to keep them from rubbing. Even just putting a piece of tape on one of them would work. I sent back the first set. The second set I received was better - so I decided that I could cover up the bad spots with a Sharpie marker, and live with them.

Well made and look good on the scope. Would recommend and would buy again when needed.

the quality was better than expected for the price.

The Picatinny scope rings are solidly constructed, mounted securely within the slots of my rail, with the height being accurate (I purchased the 0.8") and I'm pleased that the inside surfaces are lined with a protective layer. That and I received four spare Torx head machine screws. I was hoping for the protective surface but, surprisingly, that (positive) selling point is not noted anywhere in the product description. On that note, nearly all the product descriptions cite the rings as being for a Weaver rail. Fortunately, I did get what the heading of the main page title stated...but I'm surprised that all the Weaver rail information is still posted (as of 4/2026). Regardless, I'm happy with the product.
