Highly recommended for anyone serious about photography or filmmaking.
This was the very first item on my teenage son’s Christmas list. At first, the price was a bit shocking to me, but after seeing what this lens can do for both photos and video, especially compared to the cameras and lenses his peers use while competing in national film competitions, it was absolutely the right choice. The clarity and focus instantly elevate even ordinary shots. His very first photo was of our cat, taken in poor lighting, under a table, with shadows from dining chairs. Despite the challenging conditions, the image looked like a professionally captured, high-end portrait worthy of framing. The colors are rich and beautifully enhanced, and the overall quality looks edited straight out of the camera. He read the manual to understand the functionality and proper focusing techniques. While the lens feels heavy to me, it balances perfectly on his Sony camera, and with a neck strap, it’s no issue for him at all. He was very clear that this was the exact lens he wanted and explained why bundle deals are not ideal, something he thoroughly researched and discussed with his film teacher. This lens is expensive, but it’s not just a gift; it’s an investment. It’s a tool he will continue to develop his skills with as he works toward a career in film. His Sony camera and this lens were both recommended by his high school broadcast journalism teacher, and I now understand why. No photos are included because the product looks exactly as pictured. I truly had no idea how much a quality lens could make a difference, and after seeing the results, the value is undeniable. Highly recommended for anyone serious about photography or filmmaking. I hinted to my son that he might want to use this to capture senior pictures of his peers, since it has the quality of a professional lens.

Great lens with excellent sharpness and fast autofocus
I’m really happy with this lens. It’s exactly what I expected when I bought it. The image quality is excellent, with very good sharpness across the frame. The autofocus is fast and accurate, which makes it great for both photos and video. The build quality also feels solid and well made. The focal length range is very practical and covers about 90% of what I usually shoot, so it has quickly become one of my most used lenses. The only small downside for me is that it’s a bit heavier than I expected. However, the performance easily makes up for that. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this lens and would definitely recommend it.

Superb wide angle to short tele zoom lens. BIG.
This Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD lens is a fantastic lens from a performance standpoint. But size-wise it's a bit of a beast, feeling like it's probably double the size, length and girth of the Sony SEL1670Z 16-70mm F4 lens it is likely to replace for use on my Sony a6400 camera. Compared to the very diminutive Sony E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS kit lens it's like an oil tanker next to a jet ski. Fit, finish and focus are all first rate. The edge to edge sharpness is exemplary for a wide to short tele lens, nothing less than very good wide open and very impressive stopped down even one. The f/2.8 speed is of course very useful and in the you get what you pay for department the lens has Sony compatible stabilization. So all in all this is a winner. But it does make a bit of a mockery of the idea of using camera bodies that are prized for their small and very compact dimensions. It's a bit like attaching a cannon to matchbox. In any case, well worth the price from an image quality standpoint.

This is THE BEST Zoom lens for the Price!
This Lens has been incredible! It looks and feels so premium, and the quality has been outstanding! I am just getting started into my photography journey but I can tell you this lens has been a game changer over my kit lenses. the f2.8 make the low light environments so much more workable and the background blur is next level. The images looks super sharp and the autofocus works very fast. the only very slightly negative thing I would say is the lens does have a bit of weight to it, but for the wide range of zoom you get paired with the constant f2.8 it more than worth its weight in gold! I've seriously never been more happy with such a purchase and I cannot wait to get my next Tamron lens!

Worth the $$
Great lens for every day stuff. I wish the stabilizer worked better on my a6400, but my gimbal more than makes up for it. It is rather Large on my apsc camera body, but I don't mind if that's what it takes to get the zoom range and having decent f-stop values. Like any budget lens or optic, the extents of the zoom will be slightly less quality than in the middle 80%, meaning zoom all the way in then back just a little. Or all the way out, then back in just a little. Good enough bokeh for what it is, light weight for it's size, great value overall. It's my go to for filming live music.

Good for the price
Great lens, nice and sharp, not heavy and build pretty tough considering the price. Smooth turns on the rings - it doesn't have the same weight and build of some of the older Canon or Nikon glass - but that doesn't show up on the images it produces.

The perfect "do a lot very well" lens
Fantastic lens. The best value for the money with this set of features and range. My daughter used this to shoot a wedding, and it created fantastic crisp pictures, is fast, wonder bokeh. When you only want one lens to cover multiple shots this is a great choice.

Upgraded my camera
Fantastic lens! The 17-70mm range is so versatile, making it perfect for everything from landscapes to portraits. The constant f/2.8 aperture delivers great low-light performance and beautiful background blur. The image stabilization works really well, and the lens feels solid without being too heavy. Sharp images, fast autofocus, and excellent value compared to other options—highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their kit lens.

I've got Tamron 70-300mm F4-5.6, and im not satisfied with the image it taken, so I switch to sigma 16mm 1.4, I love the sharpness of it, and afraid to buy Tamron lens again, but I'm glad I did, for my eye its sharp as my Sigma, and it 17-70mm with constant 2.8, for me minimum 2.8 is enough, i love F1.4 but its so shallow that might slip your focus, over all Tamron 17-70mm 2.8 are the one always attached to my Camera for it versatility of Zoom, and its Aperture

• Leggerissima distorsione a 17mm, correggibile via software o direttamente in macchina.

Brought this lens for my a6400 APSC camera, being specifically made for APSC and having the image stabilisation made it the perfect lens choice for portraits and street photography, it balances on the camera perfectly and feels right in the hand, grabs focus quickly.
