Face Painting GO: Book 1 Beginner Designs

This is a perfect beginner's guide to face painting! I'll preface this by saying that I don't have an artistic bone in my body; but the steps were written clearly and simply (no make-up artist jargon), and the photo diagrams made it easy to follow. I only had to practice a handful of times before I had enough basic designs down to paint all the kids' faces at my little niece's birthday party. It was a huge hit, I saved my brother and sister-in-law some money on the party costs, and some of the parents of other kids even wanted to hire me for their parties! I have a full time job, but this is definitely something fun to do on weekends for a little extra spending money. Or just to show off! =D

There is very little content in this book. What is there is helpful for beginners, but there are only 5 designs in the whole book. Definitely not worth the price. Additionally, the book was not protected in any way and arrived with significant water damage.

Flipped thru this hoping for inspiration, but it is definitely a beginner level book. If you're starting out, these designs are absolutely ones you want in your pocket for quick and easy painting. Practice them until you can finish them in a couple minutes with your eyes closed for your busiest days.

I think the author should be very proud of her first en devour. The illustrations are very well done. The directions are very easy to follow. So someone untalented, like myself, could probably do a good job of painting somebodies face. I look forward to seeing another book from this author..

Instructions are very clear, and is a great introduction for painting the 5 half-masks (type seen on cover) that are contained in the book.

like to have the basics

Doesn’t have many designs and not detailed enough for beginners looking for step by step design instructions

My 13 yr. old daughter does better face art than the images shown in this book. Not to mention, the step- by -step descriptions weren't helpful or descriptive at all. My two stars are purely for the effort, but this was not worth the buy.

Very few designs for the price. Very poor value for money.

I liked the pictures and it gave a good background description of what I needed to do to achieve the same look. Good value for money.

I thought there might be a few more designs but that's my fault for not reading reviews. Only 5 designs like the front page.

Total rip off! Demonstrates 5 designs. This is far too expensive for what you actually get. Very disappointed
