Coconut Opener Tool Set, Safe & Easy to Open Young & Mature Coconuts Tool

Very useful. The wood-handle tool to scrap the interior is a bit flimsy, but you can use a spoon anyway. It also depends on how hard the coconut flesh is, so I do not blame them for a faulty design, on a soft coconut it works just fine. Everything else is perfect and makes opening a coconut easy, as long as you cut the top first... Very recommended.

The mallet has a terrible rubber odor. I threw away the cloth case in came in. I soaked all the items in bleach and dish liquid. The next day the smell was gone from the items, the mallet about 95%. The scraper (that look a flower) had a little rust or dirt. Whatever it was washed off with a little scrubbing. Each times appears to be sturdy. I haven't used them just yet. I have 2 types of coconuts (not green). The mallet cannot be used on the brown coconuts. I plan on juices both coconuts together. Now I have a much easier way to open them. Enjoy!!!!!

Although I come from a family of islanders, I grew up here on the U.S. mainland. Swinging a big blade towards my hand isn't something I am willing to do. I've successfully opened coconuts with the back edge of a cleaver following online videos, but even so I expected there must be a better way. Using the circular punch and mallet is that better way with no slippage and a good size target for the mallet. I won't say breaking open the coconut is easy because it took a bunch of good smacks with the mallet, just it's much easier than anything else I've been willing to try. Both of those parts are very sturdy and well made - they have to be to get through the shell of "young coconuts" sold to the mainland.

It came with everything I need to open my coconuts. The tools are sharp enough to get through the round shell. It’s easy to use as long as the coconuts does try to roll away lol. This was worth every penny and it’s easy to clean the tools.

What I liked: there are many options in this kit to open a young coconut. There’s a bottom sharp scoop tool in which you can open the coconut from the bottom, there’s a mallet and round cutout tool that you can open it from the top so you can access the meat, and there’s a screw tool that supposedly allows you to get into the bottom and insert a straw. It also comes with a couple of Re usable stainless steel straws. The downside is that the scraper tools included . Downsides: One of the scraper tools (seen in the picture) Broke within only a couple of months of having it. The other scraper tool looks like it’s on its edge. And the bottom screw opener that supposed to allow you to put a straw in there does not actually strong enough to open the bottom of the coconut. All in all, it seems like a good value, beware of the flimsy tools.

Great set of tools for opening fresh and young coconuts

Dangerous. Tools break and leave shards in coconut. These materials are not strong enough to pierce coconuts and could cause injury. Listing should be removed from Amazon. I opened 10 coconuts at a party. Tool partially shattered. When I realized I was embarrassed and had to tell guests not to drink their coconuts. Also the bag smells really really bad like it was forged in a rotten toxic bbq.

Handy for cracking open coconuts that we get to drink the water from. We can make our own coconut milk or feed to the dogs with what we can get from the inside of the shells

After trying all the tools, we never managed to open a coconut. We got the drill out and it did the job. Don’t bother!

Only thing that really works is the mallet and massive hole puncher. The smaller one requires huge amounts of strength and only really works on very soft shells. The straw puncher works in conjunction with the mallet. And the jelly scraper is poorly designed, coming apart after one use. The non slip mat is useless and the mallet STINKS. All the nut puncher tools only work on coconuts that have been shaved down to the nut beforehand.
