Great Kit!
This is a great kit at a great price, and I say kit, because it includes all of the replacement parts needed to repair your smoker, not just the element. I bought this for my Masterbuilt 30โ. Yes, itโs 1200 rather than the original 800 watts, but I long ago replaced the truly lousy controller in my 2016 smoker with an external pid. In my case, this is a major upgrade, so Iโm glad my original element burned out. Installation is simple, and this thing works great!

Perfect
The replacement element was a perfect fit solution. My Masterbuilt smoker was tripping the breaker after a 10-20 seconds into the heating setting. I took the (2) wires off of the element and tried it again and the breaker didnโt trip. Therefore the only piece not in the circuit was the element. Replacement was easy and unit once again is working flawlessly.

Quality element but a bit difficult to install
I bought this to replace the worn out heating element on my 40" Masterbuilt Digital Smoker, MES140. Fast shipping and well packed! The old heating element had small bolts welded to it which fed through the smokers back side, then small nuts tightened it to the smoker. This new element has threaded holes and you have to line it up inside the smoker and put the included small bolts thru the back of the smoker and hit those threaded holes. Had to have my wife come out and hold the element in place so I could put the bolts through. The bolts were a little large for the smokers' holes and had to drill the holes out another 1/32". The original ground wire connector's hole was too small for those new bolts, so had to go out and buy a $5 pack of various connectors and then splice the new ground wire. Appx 4 hour install, but that's better than buying a new smoker. The element works very well. Just plan on a little elbow grease while installing.

great part
I remodeled my several years old Masterbuilt electric smoker. Went from 800 watts to 1200 watts. I added new temperature controls .Parts cost less than $300.00. Instead of throwing away my old smoker I have a smoker as good or better than a $1400.00 smoker.

Easy install got my circuit breaker tripping smoker operating perfectly
This was the cheapest heating element available and got me back up and running. Prior to repair, smoker would trip circuit breaker as soon as it tried to heat up. Repair was straight forward - just watch a YouTube video a few times to understand the repair procedure. Total time was 35 minutes. For entire replacement. Pro tip - save your hardware from old unit. I needed nuts from previous element to install new unit.

Not exact plug and play, be prepared for extra effort
I was expecting it would be identical to the previous heating element, albeit after market of course. Well, it needed some modification to get it to work with the new screws and I had to retrofit it to try to get it to work, including the ground, which slipped over the old screws and now would not fit the new ones. Why not just make things identical? This ended up turning a 30 minute project into 1.5 hours, and I even ended up slicing my finger open badly during the process. Wasnโt too happy, and knocking down some stars as a result. Ultimately, the element worked and my GFCI stopped tripping, which was the ultimate goal, just a bit more effort than I was expecting, and I also had to get parts to make it work.

Works awesome for 1/2 price of original !
Smoker kept popping a GFCI outlet. Tried the cords, outlets and everything to make sure nothing electrical was wrong and still popping. Quick google search said the heating element so ordered it. Came in nicely wrapped in bubble wrap ( twice ), and in huge zip lock baggies. Took about 15'ish minutes to put it in. 3 bolts on the heating element, and about 5 more in total. Not hard and working beautifully so far. Pork shoulder on the smoker now, and about 9 hours in - so 5 stars from me! Would buy again if needed.

It is a cheap product.
Second time I tried to use it , made my GFI tripping. I checked everything but still keep tripping GFI. Practically I couldn't use it. So I decided to return it.
