Mixet MRH-CLR Clear Round Volume Control Handle with Screw (SHD7073)

I've had this for over 25 years as it was already installed in my condominium when I bought it. During that time, this product has been replaced three times, not because it ever broke, but because the piece that goes with it,  Mixet MTH-CLR Clear Temperature Control Handle (SHD7800) , broke, and until I found it was available on Amazon, I had to replace the whole unit, rather than the individual part.This piece consists of only two parts, a plastic fixture and a metal screw that screws into the other part. Unlike the other part, which lasts about 7-8 years, I think this part would last much longer.Be that as it may, there are other shower parts that will last longer, but probably cost much more. This brand would not be my choice if I were installing a whole new shower control, but in existing installations, it works ok, and this individual part works fine.

These control handles break but are not very expensive so I guess it is a trade off. I ordered several.

I was very happy to find this item. The original item in my shower (16 years old I think) had broken and I couldn't find anything similar at Home Depot or hardware stores. Finally I thought of searching in Google images, and that led me to Amazon. I had no trouble installing the item and it works perfectly. I bought two so that if my other shower ever needs it, I'm prepared. You will need a teeny tiny screwdriver to install it.

The Mixet temperature control handle seemed to be an exact match for the old one. Unfortunately, the Mixet replacement valves aren't. Which makes the handle irrelevant.

SO GLAD THAT I CAN FIND ALL OF THE THINGS I NEED THE MOST ON AMAZON THIS MIXET VOLUME CONTROL IS THE ORIGINAL THAT CAME WITH MY HOME WHEN IT WAS BUILT AND IT IS A PERFECT MATCH THANK YOU

This is not made by Mixet. It is actually a Brasscraft which the seller SMS Sales does not specify on the Amazon listing. It is so small you cannot grab it to turn.

A perfect replacement.Make absolutely sure this is the piece you need though. Obviously if you don't get the right piece, this isn't going to work for you.Tip: If you're having trouble seeing the model number on your current piece, use your phone and then zoom into the picture afterwards.
