How do you fit this onto a camera lens?

So, what you want to do is get yourself a step-up ring - the largest you can find. Say you're using a lens with a 77mm filter size. Get a step-up ring that is at least 77mm- 85mm. Cut a circular piece of the filter sheet to fit the larger part of the step-up ring, in the case of the example, 85 mm (doesn't have to be exact!). Put a few drops of super glue on the "shelf" of the step-up ring, and glue the cutout onto the shelf, being very careful to not touch the film with your fingers (this stuff is a grease magnet! I use cotton gloves whenever I want to handle it.) Now, you can screw the filter you just created onto your lens just like any other filter!

You have 2 pics as an example, orange looking sun and a red looking sun. Which one is it when viewing?

It can actually be either, depending on sky conditions, time of day, etc. Even by eye, sun may appear deep orange at dawn or dusk, but almost white at midday. Hope that helps.

Can the sheets be cut into smaller dimensions?

Yes the sheet is rather thin and can be cut with normal scissors. I mounted mine to a PVC pipe between two pieces of thin glass and the filter can be placed on the end of the telescope.
