Classic 6" Utility Knife, Black

I have a nice set of kitchen knives but they were mixed (some Wüsthof, some H*#kles, some others) and the Wüsthof were by far the best. They stayed sharp and sharpened much better/easier than the others. One of the others had a tip break off during regular / non forceful use. Anyhow, I decided to replace the 6 "other" knives with new Wüsthof knives and stuck with the "Classic" line. It's an unbelievably nice upgrade. Sure they're expensive but they are totally worth it. The "other" knives were probably 1/2 the cost, maybe more or less, but over the last 5 years they all had to be replaced. Now we have a NICE knife set that should last forever...

Great quality and these knives stay sharp, cost is high but using these knives, the weight of the knife, cuts right into everything. I bought 4 different knives about 30 years ago and they are wonderful and now buying more for my collection. Only brand I’ll ever buy.

Probably the FINEST professional knives out there today. PLEASE do NOT cut things on a plate or counter. You’ve invested in a knife that can, literally, be handed down for generations. Spend a few dollars on either a good rubber cutting board or, if you can afford it, a professional wood cutting board (not a cheap one not made for quality knives). One side note: there are a ton of kitchen knives advertised as “the last knife you’ll ever need” and they’re selling them for under $30.00. You get what you pay for. Wusthof is used by professional chefs, are the others? I saved up my money so I could by an entire set, one at a time, over a long period of time because I wanted the very best.

Great utility knife, stays sharp, strong, very well made - quality of Wusthoff Classic has not lessened over the years!

This is an amazing knife. It has nice balance and the weight is just right for the size. I have owned WUSTHOF knives for years, some are 25 years old and still preform perfectly. If you want a great knife that will last and give you good value for your money than this is the perfect knife to get.

Great, sharp and comfortable knife that will outlast anything you have currently in the kitchen. Just clean in sharpen it and you will enjoy it for many years. Bought it per advise of a chef that owns 4 restaurants. It is relatively expensive, but I would prefer to have one knife that last. Start building your collection and buy one at a time.

A good addition to my knife collection but surprisingly and unlike other Wustoff that I have purchased this one seems to be a bit dull out of the box. A couple of swipes on the steel bar remedied the dullness.

Is a good little knife and easy to sharpen.

There's very little to add to what many others have said about Wusthof knives, their quality speaks for itself. Excellent steel with a decent hardness so they'll keep the edge well, won't rust ever, beautifully balanced, comfortable to hold etc. There's nothing really I can find wrong with them. Worth the money they cost.

I’ve been slowly upgrading my WUSTHOF knife collection and absolutely LOVE the “Classic” series. I accidentally purchased one that wasn’t Classic and it wasn’t as good quality. Unfortunately it cost me about 20€ to return it to WUSTHOF but that’s better than keeping a knife from one of their inferior collections. I now have 5 of these and this is the perfect size for so many things - so it’s now the one I use most!
