Does this creme have any scent at all?

Used to use this all the time but haven't for years so just got it again and absolutely HATE the smell.  I guess I should have read the ingredients more carefully and now I see melon listed as a fragrance and I HATE that scent.  If you love melons you will be fine it is a good cream but if that scent turns your stomach as it does mine then it will go straight into the trash.  Hardly worth returning.  WHY MELON?

Can this be used aa makeup primer?

No. It's a heavy moisturizer.Like CeraVe thick cream if you get me.  It will be greasy, besides I'm not crazy for the smell above anywhere other than feet with thick socks. Derma-E does  however make both a fabulous day and night cream. I have both and love them in winter, but it's too heavy for summer.  But I don't think they make a primer. Oddly what I do like is the MyChelle reef safe facial sunscreen spf 28 unscented. For whatever reason it seems to work as a primer though it's not one! I don't get why either. Also dosen't give you "ghosting' on your face. If you're looking for a natural cosmetics primer, look for Gabriel cosmetics. I think they make one. I've used their foundation before and it's lovely. Hope this helps.
