DURATECH Reversible Ratcheting Combination Wrench Set, SAE, 9-Piece

I grabbed this DURATECH reversible ratcheting combination wrench set for work, and overall it’s been really handy and good quality for the price. The ratcheting ends work smoothly and the reversible mechanism makes turning bolts quicker without having to flip the wrench every time — great for everyday tasks and general repairs.

Have had these for about 6 months now. Use them daily at work. No probs w the durability or performance yer. My coworker has similar Gearwrench brand, which are more than double the price. These compare nicely but, just to give you some idea of what you pay for… the Gearwrench are clearly higher quality and the box ends on Gearwrench are more compact and the forward reverse selector switch on GW are steel vs plastic for Duratech. I REALLY am happy with this purchase though and would recommend these! My 3/4” wrench was exposed to muriactic acid while changing a pump at work. The Chrome finish is now darker than the other wrenches but the finish is still smooth and the wrench still works fine.

I am a oil burner service tech, and I have used Husky and gear wrenches for years. I decided to try Durotec because of price about 4 months, I will say I have been surprised how well these wrenches are holding up. The open end doesn't seem to spread like the other brand I have used, and I haven't had any problems with the ratcheting part. So far so good.

11/16th wrench switching on its own while trying to tighten or loosen....no problem to get a replacement set and then choosing the best from both to make a keeper set. Then just send back all the worst ones.

Like most geezers, over the years I’ve accumulated a hodgepodge of tools. Always seem to be missing the one I needed for the job and had to use another not-quite-right replacement if and when I could find it. These sets, sae and metric cover most situations and are conveniently packaged. Might not cover every situation, but that’s inevitable. provides entertainment for the tool gods. Ratchets seem sturdy. You pay a little more for the type that lets you switch direction without flipping the tool, but well worth it. These would make a nice gift for the home handyman.

Cheaper than gearwrench same result if not better

Not only are they made extremely well made and have a reversible switch ,but they come with a cool pouch that you can roll up and put in your toolbox. I’m gonna have to buy another set. Normally the set goes for over $120 bucks in the store.

Great deal for a ratcheting wrench set. Perfect for at home use. If you are looking to expand your personal tools, fantastic add on. Not as smooth as Snap-On or Mac. But these will keep up with any at home set.
