My son was looking for a net that extended to use for ecological studies. This net worked out perfectly, and the price was right. We received the net within two days just like it promised, and it is a great sturdy net. He uses it to capture frogs, toads, and snakes to study, record and then release. He is thrilled with the purchase, and I am excited that he can extend the length of the net to capture his critters safely and release them back into their habitat.

*update 4/2/25- the seller contacted me after I submitted my original review and offered a refund AND upgraded replacement. I didn’t contact this seller nor plan on reaching out for any type of refund or compensation. For this, I’m giving a 5 star review. Great customer service! And I’m excited for my son to try out his new net. Net appeared to be sturdy and I bought this since it was compact and could easily be carried in my son’s fishing bag. Unfortunately, it snapped in half the first time he used it. I’m giving 3 stars because he hooked an 8 lb trout and I believe under different circumstances this net would have been just fine (smaller fish). I don’t regret the purchase, but will be looking for something more sturdy to replace this one.
