The tare function lets you zero your dosage spoon weight before you fill it. The top opens two ways, so you can weigh larger things, like those tiny measuring spoons, using a bottle cap or something to elevate them off the case.

When I'm investing in Gold or Diamonds, I need the best accuracy I can get when determining weight. It's bulky and thick for sure, but gets the job done. I didn't like the size at first but got used to it pretty quickly actually. Never had any issues with it 2-3 months later and frequent use.

I bought this to use for reloading, getting very consistent results. I have been getting ES of 20 or less (single digit SD's) among different loads and charges. I am not ready to spring $500+ for a A&D 120fx, so this will fit my needs for now. I use a beam scale to get close, then finish up on this scale. I do use the 120v AC, batteries may effect readings. I know low battery charge will effect torque readings in my Snap-On electronic torque wrenches, so I am not expecting this to handle batteries any different. Using AC will supply a consistent current. The limitations are tolerable given the price of an A&D. Even in AC mode, it does seem to shut off too quickly. That's a hassle when you have a tray of powder and you have to dump and Tare again with an empty tray. The other issue is that while it does display to the 0.01 gr, it does not always measure in these small increments. Put a tray on the scales and trickle up to the charge weight. If you are close, -0.03, it may not register as you trickle grains. I will take the tray off, wait a second, then return the tray and start adding while the weight registers. Or, take off, add a grain or 2, then replace. Once it settles, it seems to be accurate. Know that air movement will register on the scales. Move your arm across the scale or another person walking past can change the readings until it settles again. It is very sensative. But at this price point (pre Tariffs) it was a good buy for me.

I was pleasantly surprised that for the low price, the build quality of this scale is excellent! And it appears to be as accurate as any other mini-scale I've owned. I would def buy it again

Perfect reloading scale.

This scale will occasionally jump off zero, you must check it every time when reloading ammonium.

Very good quality. The unit I have, tested against a professional one, it’s only 0.3 grains off! The only thing is that one must be consistent on centering of the item/pan on the plate.
