Bucilla Felt Applique 18" Stocking Making Kit, Christmas Dogs, Perfect for DIY Arts and Crafts, 89251E

I have not done one of these stockings in over 20yrs but decided that I was tired of wasting my nights sitting watching TV & figured I would try one of these. Amazon had the best price at & fastest delivery. Stocking looks super cute & instructions are clearly written. Embroidery floss does seem cheaper than it used to be, it tangles easier, but does the job. Felt isn't as good of a quality as it used to be either...just goes to show that quality has gone down with many things over the years.. But overall I am happy with my purchase.

Super cute stocking. It took me about 60 hours to complete. Some of the instructions I feel could have been done in a better manner, I switched some up after I was halfway through. . Literally, everything has to be put together from square one. It’s very important to read and reread the instructions to get it right the first time. I did not have to redo anything (thank goodness). It’s meticulous and time consuming but the end result is absolutely adorable! Hardest part was the lettering and size/placement for me. Glad I have a printer or I don’t know if I could have pulled it off. Had to enlarge 130% and I still felt they were small. It came out really nice. I’m going to make the coordinating ornaments but after doing 2 stockings in a few weeks, may tackle that project next year. My daughter loves it so that’s what really matters!

Makes the absolute cutest stocking! My 90 year old Mom put this together and didn’t find it difficult to make. Absolutely adorable.

Very cute, detailed Christmas stocking, but it might be a bit challenging for a beginner. I would have given it five stars, but many of the clear beads were too small to use, and there weren't enough aqua sequins in the kit. I have searched unsuccessfully for the sequins both online and in craft stores. Very disappointing!

Loved making this. Instructions arn’t the best but by the time I was half way done I just went by the picture and numbers as to what was next and stopped reading. I didn’t like the simplicity of the embroidered letters so I bought sparkly floss and did a cursive name freestyle. Some beads were defective but they give you extra to work with. Great project and fairly easy. Took about 50 hrs.
