Solid, Reliable, and Worth the Money
I picked up the VAULTEK LifePod because I wanted something childproof that could securely hold a full-size carry, and my first impression was that the design is clean and well thought out.I have been using this for years now, and it still holds up perfectly. It has been reliable the entire time with no issues, which is exactly what you want from something meant to protect valuables.Pros:Solid build qualityChildproof and secureFits a full-size carryWorks great at home and on the goCons:None that I have found over years of useYou are paying for more than just a name or a gimmick here. This thing is genuinely solid and dependable. It is a great option for safely storing valuables both in the house and while traveling.

Solid, quality, carrying case/safe.
Solid, sturdy, holds my G43X and 4 mags. Spot of an AirTag and credit cards. Carrying handle, locking cable it is well put together. If I had to do it over, I'd get the one with the biometric reader.

Nice secure handgun case for most
I had purchased the standard LifePod and it works great for up to a Glock 19 with [2] extra magazines.Saw they had a slightly larger LifePod 2.0 with an internal organizer tray and liked the idea of that so I ordered one. They are both nice cases. The LifePod 2.0 will not hold a single stack 9mm or a 1911 and allow you to use the included organizer tray unless you take out all of the bottom foam and then you have to press it closed which slightly flexes the organizer tray.It is still a nice case but don't count on being able to use the organizer tray.I tried it with a S&W Shield +, Glock 17, 19, 43X, 48 and a Colt Government model 1911.There might be a slimmer single stack 9mm which will work with the organizer but none of mine would. The standard LifePod works fine for my uses as a Glock 19 with a Streamlight TLR-7A and [2] extra mags would be my normal load out for it. I had to remove [1] piece of bottom foam for it to work.

UPDATE: NOT a defective key lock, only defective user experience design
UPDATE:it turns out that because the sticker inside the box was UPSIDE DOWN, I misread it. The directions for the "on" state for the key lock were next to the OFF position (UX mistake #1) and the sticker was positioned so that I would have to be INSIDE the box to read it right-side-up, and therefore it was UPSIDE DOWN for anyone looking into the box from above (UX mistake #2) and therefore hard to read, and easy to misread. I'm raising my review to 4 stars. There is nothing PHYSICALLY wrong with the product, just the UX. This wasted a lot of my time, which could have been saved if they had at least positioned the sticker so that I could read it, and preferably had also designed it so that the directions for the ON position were NEXT TO the ON position instead of the OFF position.I will probably relent and raise my review to 5 stars, since Amazon won't let me give it 4.5, because there are so many great things about this product, but at the moment I'm just slightly annoyed with the bad UX design.ORIGINAL:I was really looking forward to getting this, as it seemed to be the perfect balance of various trade-offs. And the portability and floating feature seemed like an awesome bonus. But it has a fatal flaw—at least the one I received, which may not be indicative of every single unit.It is a minor annoyance that there was no battery included. Okay, fine, they want to keep the cost down. Whatever. After a trip to Costco for 9 volt batteries, I was ready to set up my box.The unit came with the key lock disabled. Some people may prefer to risk losing their keys instead of risking the possibility that a thief may pick the lock, so this is a good feature. After installing the battery, the next thing I did was enable the key lock, since I'm less worried about the lock being picked than about me losing the ability to quickly access the contents of my box. Then I set up a code, and tried it out. I wanted to make sure I could unlock it with both the code and with the key. The code worked fine, but the key, not so much. I could not turn the key all the way to unlock it. I felt that if I applied any more torque to the key I would break it off in the lock, which would not do anyone any good.So I tried fiddling with the setting for turning the key lock on and off. I dialed that back part way so it was not fully in the "on" position, and suddenly I could turn the key all the way so as to unlock it. However, now I could not remove the key.So there is basically no way of making the key work. It's either impossible to unlock the unit with the key, or it's impossible to get the key in and out (in which case it's still impossible to unlock the unit because you can't put the key in).So the physical lock is junk on mine. This is presumably a manufacturing defect, but I would not trust that this defect doesn't appear on any other units. If the quality control is inconsistent enough to allow such an extreme defect in THIS unit, it is most likely allowing it in others as well. One other small nit: there are only 4 possible numerals for your PIN. But that's really only a small inconvenience in that it limits the possible PINs you can choose. As long as you have an 8-digit PIN this is still quite secure (65 thousand possibilities for an attacker to try, if I did the math correctly), so make sure you use all 8 allowed digits if that degree of security is important to you.So, in summary, if you don't care about the physical key, then for you this is a 5-star product.

Secure and good Quality.
Fabulous, rather expensive but just looks polished in quality. Perfect for transportation. Will purchase a safe for home storage. A really good investment.Didn't need the fingerprint scanner. That kinda seems pointless.

Quality car safe
Bought this awhile ago. So far so good . Built pretty well. I was concerned about it being battery powered but so far no issues. Recommended.

Great fit and finish.
Absolutely a game changer for those who travel with a firearm. Even airport staff comment on how nice it is. I fly weekly and so far it’s held up well. This fits a FN reflex with holster, 3 small boxes of ammo and two magazines with room to spare.
