We have been looking for a great smelling washing machine cleaner who of course does the job very well. And this was it. I don’t know why I was under the impression that it is big when it says 250ml. I was surprised when it arrived in a small box. But, it does the job very well.

I’m not convinced it needs to be used every two months as suggested, especially if you regularly clean your machine or run hot washes, but at this price point, it’s a handy option if you prefer to stick to a schedule. Every few months I give my washing machine a proper clean with this Dettol stuff and it’s honestly fool-proof. You just pour the whole bottle into the detergent drawer (main wash compartment), run a hot 60°C or 90°C cycle with the machine empty, and you’re done. Takes literally ten seconds to set up.
