O.K.  when lightly wet...dry off immediately...after the paint is applied, a coat of acrylic finisher is suggested, to protect paint...

I have probably 50 pairs of louboutin. It doesn’t matter what paint you use. The second paint hits concrete it scuffs.  This is “thicker” (less viscosity) so it will last longer but it’s inevitable and no one wants to wear ice skates. It’s actually the tell tale sign of a legit louboutin. The first thing I do when I get new loubies is crack the paint off the sole part that hits the concrete to get traction. Especially if you live in the city. You “could” do rubber covers but it looks sneaky if you plan on reselling because the buyer can’t see how much weight you applied on what part of the sole and what that rubber is filling in. I I’ve seen people wear them to death and then have them professionally refinished with rubber soles over the insanely thin practically burned through sole knowing their selling the equivalent of swim sneakers. The proper repair is to replace the sole entirely and use something like this. And it will still come off, just like louboutin paint, when you hit the concrete. It prevents people from returning shows. It’s a tell sell sign of mileage. You can see the angle the person walks on if the heel cap is slanted. The whole design is to stop people from trying pass off really old stuff as new. If he didn’t want the red to fade he would have the soles dyed before their painted. But that’s not what he wants. I’ve met him actually. He’s the best. He signed my insteps. The ball of your foot will always loose paint. The goal is to see the paint from the heel breast and outsole. If the paint stayed smooth youd get seriously injured. So the purpose is to repaint the parts that are visible when you walk. Not the parts that hit the floor. I’ve never repainted a sole. I have pairs I’ve never worn. The tell tale sign of a Loubie newbie is “protecting the sole”. Those of us that collect don’t paint the ball part of the sole. Because we enjoy not falling.  Bit a Rolando, so kate, pigalle— the classics in black with the expectation that the red will stay on is like a a big flag that says “this is my only pair”. So don’t worry about it. Build some tread so you can walk. He considers every aspect when he designs a shoe. A rubber grip will change your gate. This paint is to recreate the signature COLOR and FINISH of the outer sole.  Which you might need if you slam the back inside of the heel of walk up stairs weight but I really don’t care enough to look.  Enjoy how hot they look and know that kicking your feet up with paint chips off on the part that hits the concrete is the tell tale sign of a true Loubie foot soldier. And if your wondering why the red is always new for tv interviews and talk shows is because the stylist provided them, only let them walk on carpet, and they were off the second they got off stage. When you see real celebs wearing real louboutins in the street they know they have entered the real world and they DO NOT care. Also when you have alot you rotate so some of mine have alot of paint off and some are super smooth. Christian literally says it’s all about the sexiness and how they make you feel. No one is inspecting your soles at dinner with a magnifying glass on the floor. They see them from 20-30 feet away and think “she knows what’s up”. I get stopped all the time and no one asks me about chips except the girls with their very first pair. So RELAX and let the shoe transform your confidence. Walk outside the way you do in the mirror. Like your fabulous, hot and don’t care.

The red color matches well on the bottom of my cl's but it's a matte finish unlike the true louby shine. what would you recommend to bring the shine?
