Icarus Wall Sculpture

I went crazy and painted my bathroom dark burgundy. This was just what I was looking for to put over my door. Not too heavy, I’m not worried it might fall on someone’s head. It’s just the right size. I put painters tape on the back to get the nail spacing, then stuck it on wall. Worked perfect. It feels like a nice quality resin, looks paintable. I thought about rub n buff, but I don’t want to mess him up.

I am very well pleased all the way around and I get this statue and the driver from Amazon 10 stars. I’m so happy with the way. The statue looks and the quality and with the service I received. The driver actually followed the delivery instructions and for at least a year that I’ve been ordering off of Amazon, this is actually the first driver that all instructions and I couldn’t be happier with this driver. This driver needs a raise. Thank you again.

I got this as a gift for my friend, since she’s a fan of Greek mythology. She loved it. this statue looks amazing! It didn’t come with any defects, and was bigger than I thought it would be for this price.

Works well with an uncluttered environment.

This sculpture is a perfect example of classical art, exemplifying the dynamic joy of flight. As a pilot, I had to have it. I think that it satisfies my expectations in that the piece is beautiful, nicely detailed, and only slightly smaller than I thought it would be. But it's right there in the ballpark for a decent display size. I thought it would be a resin or plastic material, but that is not what it is made of. It feels and sounds like plaster of paris, or some similar plaster formula. It's not completely dry, being slightly damp still, and it has a smell similar to drywall mud, if you know what that's like. I'm sure that will fade in time, and that I will enjoy displaying this sculpture for years to come, but as it seems to be a form of plaster I will be sure to be careful with it.

Beautiful detailed anatomy of Icarus, the youth who flew too close to the sun. What I wasn't expecting in a 11 inch relief sculpture was the detailed emotion on the face. The artist captures that moment when exhilaration turns to apprehension like "Ahhhhhh!!!...wait, what the......" A heavy beautiful piece, requires 2 mounting screws. Don't usually spend this much but was well worth it.

Me gusto mucho. Es muy bonita. Pero lo q yo no sabia era el termino "figura de jardin" pues es para colgar en la pared. Pero como me gustaba tanto, compre unas maderitas haciendo en forma de L y me queda muy chulo en la estanteria de mi mueble del salon. Aaah si comprais la madera q sea de color negro y no pegar la figura centrada sino ligeramente hacia la derecha y q sobresalga las alas de la madera. Os gustara esta forma de colocarlo
