Cats are competing for it
There was intense interest in the scratchy box even before I opened the package. Both cats were smelling it, and as soon as I put it on the floor one of them jumped on and started scratching. The freebies in this are fun, and generous. The extra cat toy filled with catnip has been traveling around the house as one or the other cat plays hockey with it. And they love the catnip - it seems to be more alluring than the other "maximum potency" catnip I had on hand.By the way - if you get three of these boxes and take the time to send in the UPCs, they will send you a "free supply" of the Zoom Around the Room catnip this comes with. There's been some thought put into this. I really appreciate that the scratch insert can be flipped over, so you get get double the usage out of it. Its also nice to have the outside box, because that way when you sprinkle catnip into the box, it does not end up on the floor. All the little torn-off cardboard pieces will stay in the box, too.It is also a stylin' box. The yellow tassles are cute (and the cats like them) and the black and white stripes on the side look good. This is a dramatic improvement over the cat scratch insert it replaced. We're only on our second day with it, but it appears to have beaten out the Scratch Lounge as the best scratch box in the house. It is also less than half the price of the Scratch Lounge.
