Is this microwaveable?

I purchased this as a decorative piece so I have not really used it. I would doubt that it was intended to be microwaved.

how many ounces does it hold?

The teapot holds about 8 oz. I hosted a 75th birthday party for my mom and the theme was "Garden Tea" The teapots were used as part of center pieces and people loved them. The quality and presentation was a 5 Star Rating.

Is this item functional?

I haven't used it yet but it looks to me like it should be.
