does this product have carrageenan in it

Why is there carageenan in this? what purpose does it serve??

Carrageenan is a seaweed extract that helps as a preservative to keep the products texture, emulsified and stabilized. In that sense, carrageenan is completely "natural" -- it's not much different from tomato paste in its creation.
