Are these tear away tags?

What it the waist size for medium versus large?

I don't claim this for everyone, but for me specifically, the sizing chart they use (and some other companies use) seem incorrect. I wear 34" waist pants but 34" waist underwear is way too small so I always have to go one size up. I found this applies to me with Gildan, Hanes, and Fruit of the Loom. The same applies to their undershirts, too. I wear a medium in most shirts, but with undershirts, medium is way too tight and even tighter (and shorter) after the first wash, but large fits a little loose before the first wash and just right after.

Is the waist band cotton as well?

Hi, David. The waistband on the Gildan Men's Covered Waistband Boxer Brief is elastic. However, the elastic is fully enclosed in 100% Cotton so there is only cotton fabric next to the body. Thank you.
