Did not stick AT ALL. it took to my roots but barely colored my ends - and I’m blond. The last time I did my hair was in August when I bleached & put a semi permanent pink in it, haven’t touched it since yet this color did not stick for anything. Followed directions to a T, left it on longer, did everything but it did not stick. Then what little bit of color that barely tinted my hair washed out on the first wash - and I even waited a week after dying it! I’ll never buy this brand again.

This worked on my hair. I have herbal (henna) hair color and gray roots. I used this as an interim solution while choosing a new color. I put the medium cherry brown shade over all of my hair, and it not only darkened the henna successfully, but also colored over my gray roots. I strand tested it first on the henna to make sure it would not react negatively. In general, most ammonia and peroxide free products are ok to use over henna, and this one also worked well. The color has taken to my hair, which has taken other semi permanent products as well. I recommend the strand test so you don't have the bad experience some of the reviewers did, since hair products vary from person to person. I tried this because most of the red and auburn shades of Clairol Natural Instincts are hard to find these days. I thought this was a great buy and a nice transitional color on existing red, which I am trying to darken a bit.
