We have now been using these at reptile shows for close to a year. They work great but the highest setting will make the plug in hot. The clamps will work with most of the plastic top tables we use at my place but we did find a table one day that they couldn’t reach to fit it. We just grabbed a different table and were all good. They seem to be built well for what they are and produce some good light. I like how well they can be maneuvered around and they stay where you put them. We have 4 of them and my oldest son now wants two for his desk, which got me looking them up again and decided to go ahead and do a review.

I initially bought this lamp so I can light up my small desk for studying. And that's what I did, and it served that purpose well. But it was not until I used this lamp for a quick watch repair that I realized the true utility and potential for this lamp! I recently bought a watch from Amazon, but unfortunately it arrived with a dead battery. After buying a replacement battery, I set about removing the watch's back and loosening the tiny screw that held the dead battery in place. Using the adjustable swinging arms, I was able to position the lamp just under my chin for the perfect angle, so that my hands were not blocking the light. The different light modes and dimness adjustments were also extremely handy in adjusting the brightness, so that I did not blind myself with the watch's metal finish. Needless to say, I was extremely happy with my buy, and I really began to appreciate the multiple adjustments this lamp offers. Now obviously there are specialty lights with a magnifying glass built in for small fine work such as watch repairs, painting tiny figurines, etc, but for the average person, this lamp is exceptional. I can imagine attaching this to a work bench as well. Because of this experience, I decided to leave this product review. Truly, this is a versatile lamp, that provides great lighting, is built well, and is offered for a very competitive price. Below are a few more details about the light: As a previous buyer pointed out, the usb plug-in gets quite hot when the lamp is on and in use. The lamp itself also gets warm, but not so hot that you cannot keep your fingers or hand on it. The part that gets warm is the metal part, the actual plastic covering is less hot. Still, as I mentioned, you can still grab the lamp and turn it and move it whatever which way you need it, even after a couple hours of the light being on. The joints move well and smoothly, and the lamp does not move after you set it (note that I've only had this lamp a week by the time of this product review). The lamp appears to have 2x bulbs inside it. One provides "warm" light, and the other provides a "cool" light. The 3rd mode turns both of these bulbs on, and seems to be the brightest. 10x levels of adjustable brightness. One thing I do like is that on the controls, the "power" button is lit up when the lamp is off, so you can easily find which button to press in the dark. When you turn it on, the power button light goes off. The vice clamp is sturdy. It hasn't moved at all with me adjusting the arm and twisting and turning the light. It clamps onto something as thin as a piece of paper, and opens up to a maximum of about 6cm, or about 2.3 inches (Take this part with a grain of salt, as what I provided was an estimation. I just moved and I cannot find my ruler). Overall, I am very happy with this light, and obviously more so after I was able to use it more than just for reading and writing. For a ~$20 light, it is well worth the money.

I have terrible lighting in my house and I was having an awful time trying to have enough light to work on my art in. I found this lamp and ordered it and it’s so perfect! I love how it clamps to the table and is posable so I can have it any way I need it to be! It’s so bright and the brightness and warmth are adjustable. It’s well made and it was easy to set up. It’s a real game changer! It was shipped fast, too! Highly recommended!

I really love this light, especially the customizable settings for both color and brightness—it adds a great touch to any space. However, I’m giving it 4 stars because after about a year of use, the on/off switch started malfunctioning. For the price and quality, I had hoped it would last a bit longer. Still, it's a great product while it lasts!

Had this thing for two years now and while I don't use it often, it's served it purpose very well for me. I build FPV drones and needed the extra light- works like a charm. I needed a light to take monthly pictures of my newborn- the ability to change the color and brightness made this work like a charm. The base is strong and is easy to put on. Only thing I noticed today is the controller is getting a little warm to the touch which shouldn't really be a thing with LEDS and their low amp draw. They should probably redesign that to avoid problems in the future but so far so good.

This is the 2nd one of these I’ve owned… only because the first one was lost (or… I honestly think, my husband threw it away!! I use it to light a tray table area for doing crafts and reading!! I’ve been into diamond painting and it needs light! I loathe hsving a bright overhead light on… so hsving a desk light, like this one is a good compromise to get the light I need while keeping in the relative dim room otherwise!! So far, so good!! These pictures are showing the bright white color and warm white light at their brightest intensity as it’s the most helpful to my craft… when I want the light on but am not reading or crafting, dimming the light or switching it to the warm white light or the warm light is a suitable light to do other things by but is not invasive to other activities!!🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️for a person who hates bright lights all around her… this light fits the bill imho!! And its clamp has such a small footprint it doesn’t get in the way! In these pictures you can see the lamp is clamped to a different cabinet than my working surface… this is because my working surface isn’t super stout and we decided the cabinet was a better place!! Nevertheless… if we put it on my work surface… it would be out of my way entirely, which I love!! It means that I have more working space for my crafts, book, etc!!

I cannot express how much I love this lamp! I am a crocheter and a crafter and this lamp has been a game changer for me. I can adjust everything about this lamp easily in order to have light exactly when and where I need it. I hang dreamcatchers on my door to work on the beading, lace, ribbon or whatever I hang from the bottom of them and the feathers. This lamp is attached to my end table by my chair so I just swing it around to have light on my door. While crocheting, I can place it directly over my project and adjust the light right where I need it. The light settings allow me to choose how much light and color of light I need which is AWESOME!!!! My husband purchased the first one for his art desk and loves it. Then he bought this one for me. We didn't stop there because we bought a third one to put in another highly used area in our living room but then our kitchen light went out on a Sunday, so we placed in the kitchen over the sink. We've enjoyed having it there so much we decided to leave it there to have much needed extra lighting over the sink. (Our overhead kitchen light was replaced a day later). So we're planning to get a 4th one for that other living room area! This is one product I believe everyone needs and highly recommend.

This is the first LED 'arm lamp' I've owned. I've had a few incandescent lights that were quite similar. The 'light part' (as you see in the sale posts) is fine. The light from them is fine. The operation of them is okay. But the 'mounting posts' - the pipe/post they swivel on leave A LOT to be desired. I've mounted a few of these before and often mount them to decks or desks by drilling a 5/8" hole into the flat surface, the installing a 1/2" ID copper pipe sleeve for the (approx.) 1/2" peg/pin/post that they use to mount them into a plastic base/bracket. (See the first picture) This post is where the problem is. 1) the post is flimsy. Much lighter weight than the pin/post on previous lights - like 22 gauge instead of 18 gauge. The post it not a full-circle - it is a formed 3/4 or more circle, surely with the intent that it would 'spring outward against the inner walls of the mounting bracket' to hold it in place. They're too flimsy to press outward hard enough to stand up. 2) the post is short. OMG, the older lights had a post on them that was at least 3" long. It protruded down into the hole (whether in their provided bracket or my 'sleeved mount') and it held the erect out of the mount. These posts are so short (possibly 1- to 1-1/2"). That, coupled with the new, flimsier gauge metal means they don't have enough strength to hold up against the weight of the light when it's cantilevered out as described in comment 1. 3) the bottom of the base for the light is flatly and sharply cut off. With the post set fully into any hole/bracket/mount, the bottom of the frame rides on the top of the bracket or pipe. (Note the washer in the second picture - this was an effort to raise the frame up so it wouldn't 'drag' on the flat material under the base.) Also, note that I've extended the 'copper sleeves' up far enough to the bottom of the frame wouldn't drag on the wood beneath it. 4) as part of my mounting, I was not able to get the posts to 'support the light snugly' inside the sleeves. I tried different inner-sleeves to make up some of the diameter and/or support the post better. Using thin HDPE plastic in the first picture, and wrapped with electrical tape in the second picture (to make up fit and to help support the light) didn't work. This was because of the flimsy material and short post length. The provided base-mounts for them were not usable for my installation. And/but I assure you, they wouldn't have made the flimsy, short posts work any better.
