This soap has been around since 1878. PineTar Soap is made only 4 miles from where we live and about 4 buildings from where I work, how about that? Here is the information: Formulated and Marketed by Grandpa Brands Company, 1820 Airport Exchange Blvd, Erlanger, KY 41018, 1-800-684-1468, www.grandpabrands.com, and says "Made in the USA".

Grandpa’s Pine Tar Oil is 100% pure kiln-burned Wood Tar, imported from Sweden. It is manufactured in a closed vacuum system at high temperatures that does not generate creosote and is manufactured and tested under closely controlled conditions to ensure quality and uniformity.

Does this soap cause dry skin? I want to use it on my face, but it gets dry really easily.

No. It's actually good for people with eczema and that's really dry. But people react differently to everything. It's a minimal cost. Try it.
