Wow, Wow, Wow!
Now I understand why this mic is so popular and people simply love it. It's worth paying for. Simply go for it if you do podcasting, voice over, and online meetings. In order to pare it, you need another fantastic product called Rodecaster Pro that will give this mic the proper amount of gain. Rodecaster will also offer you some additional benefits and you'll have your own home studio all set up. Don't wait any longer. Take this microphone and start recording. Happy recording.

It's legendary
Shure SM7B is the Number 1 Dynamic Microphone, nothing can beat it. it's clean signal, sound like Broadcast it also need a mic booster like cloudlifter or Fethead to give it clean 20 db signal so you won't have to crank the gain level to maximum and start to hear hiss sound.

Best Audio Setup Upgrade
If you're looking to improve your current budget XLR mic setups and saved up enough, this is one of the best upgrades that you can make to your setup. Keep in mind that this mic needs a lot of gain to function properly, but since I use it with my GoXLR it runs perfect without the need of a cloud lifter. As the name says, it's legendary. Worth the price premium!

Best kept secret
I have been an amateur recording artist for some while. Always fiddling around trying new gear. I used a Rhode-NT1 before for vocals but the SM7 just blows it out of the water. The clarity with presence boost engaged helps vocals cut through mix without that brittle bite of a condenser. Much smoother and warmer and not so prone to picking up room noise. I do use a Klark Teknik line booster (Cloud lifter) in line before going to my sound card.

Shure SM7B – Great Mic, But Is It Worth the Price?
I was really excited to get the SM7B after hearing all the hype, and don’t get me wrong — it’s a solid mic. The sound is rich and clear, especially for vocals and podcasts. But honestly? Coming from the Rode PodMic, the difference wasn’t as big as I expected for the price jump. You need a good preamp to make it shine, which adds even more cost. It’s a great mic, but if you’re on a budget, the PodMic gives you almost the same quality for way less. I guess I was expecting a bit more for what I paid.

As shown in the picture i received this today and it is a genuine sm7b. Checked the inside and it all matches. Excellent upgrade from at2020 in my opinion. It was shipped and delivered within 24h (instead of 2 working days) to NL.

Unfortunately beware of the counterfeits out there, they are proliferate and often disguised under the 5 star rating the "actual" product has. This is the real thing! My son had a Presonus P1 which is a solid all-around Mic and has been very reliable over the last 2 years. Honestly my expectation of the difference was small, however this really is an exceptional microphone. Build quality is top drawer! It has some heft to it, and the yoke mounting mechanism is brilliant, easy to attach and reposition with a mic stand (Rode in our case). The sound quality is very VERY good, I can only describe it as the Mids and treble being very slightly amplified, and in the case of my sons voice creates a deeper resonance to the quality without sounding forced or artificial. It is very accurate. Positioning can be very flexible given the pick-up is broad, and you really don't need a pop filter. Finally as this is not a complete novice Mic, you WILL need an XLR cable, with this in turn plugged in to an audio interface or mixer (in our case the Presonus Studio 24c). It actually doesn't need phantom power either which was a bit of a surprise to us. Overall this is a clear 5 star product.
