What are the outside dimensions of the surround when it's all put together?

Does this help soundproof the dartboard at all?

It’s not behind the board, but rather surrounds the board. If it provides any soundproofing then it’s minimal if none at all.

Will it work with Grandboard that is 22 inches total in diameter? I am assuming it would tuck behind the edges of the grandbaord S3.

That's an interesting idea. I know that it fit snuggly around my board and uses the board to hold it in place. You'd have to devise something to hold the surround to the wall directly or glue it to the back of the board. However, this will put the dartboard further away from the wall so you will have to devise a way for the board to no accommodate this distance difference. Personally, I'd find a different solution.
