I would typically make extra medium and pour a few extra plates, but if you want the exact composition, you will require 100 X 150/250 = 60 g of medium plus 250 X 150/250 = 150 mL of water. There will be a slight increase in volume when you dissolve the medium in water. When it is completely dissolved, the final volume will likely be between 175 and 190 mL This is no an exact science. Prepare your boiling water bath and pressure cooler before you start to mix the ingredients.

How do you prepare this for use in a Petri dish?

Hello- This is dehydrated powder. In order to prepare it for use in a petri dish you need to add distilled water, stir it up, bring it to a boil, stir it up again, sterilize it by placing it in an autoclave or pressure cooker at 250 degrees Fahrenheit / 15 PSI for 15 minutes, allow it to cool for 20-30 minutes and finally pour it into petri dishes.
